The Staff is great. Check-in was quick and easy. All on the ground floor - no stairs. Dinner was excellent and the waitress and chef was able to accommodate my GF diet - lovely naked panfried cod with pork scrunchions. The dining room was booked for a military dinner in one corner and a teacher's retirement party was going to be coming into the rest. Still they seated me close to the door as it was early enough and I returned the favour by dispatching my dinner and yummy desert promptly. I retired to the pub for a drink. My room is comfortable, the bed looks like I'll have a good sleep, the bathroom is clean and the fixtures look new. However, the carpets look a little tired and worn in the halls and my room. Most notably, when I opened the door to the hall leading to my room, I was greeted by a large clear plastic full garbage bag, which was still there when I returned from dinner and the pub.

It was fine. Good enough for a night. Overpriced. Carpets in the rooms. Booked on Expedia and when I got there, the front desk lady said the price was $50 more than what I booked on Expedia and she has no control over what Expedia charges, she has to charge me the higher price. Which makes no sense at all, then the hotel shouldn’t advertise on Expedia if the hotel cannot honor the prices. It just seemed like a bait and switch scam to me, to let me book online for a cheaper price then ask for more once in at the counter and it’s too late to find a different place.

Our stay mediocre at best honestly, no mini fridge in the room which was a huge bummer for us. Dated furniture and small tv. Definitely needs a refresh. Staff at the desk were friendly and helpful however.
