This hotel really needs help in so many ways!
The check-in process was quick with friendly/efficient staff and the convenient underground parking was really unexpected and especially appreciated for our motorcycles. Quick walk to a charming town with tons of shops and restaurants. Unfortunately the rooms, grounds and building exterior are in serious need of an overhaul. And our room hadn’t been vacuumed nor swept in ages. But the location is gorgeous so I would think any renovation would be worthwhile for tourism.

The building is tired. No ice machine on the floor and the vending machine was out of order. The beds were comfortable but the room and public areas didn’t feel very clean. The young server for breakfast was very pleasant and friendly (didn’t catch her name). Loved the town and the location of the hotel.

Gorgeous location! Beach on both sides, excellent views, easy to walk to restaurants and Rattlesnake Canyon. Great home base to check out local wineries and spend a few days with family or friends. Breakfast was meh but otherwise had a great time.

Relief at the end of a long day in the saddle.
1000 km on a motorbike in the rain, arrival was such a relief. Secure parking was a bonus. The elevator was ridiculously small and slow is my only complaint. Front staff we harried and busy but excellent.

We booked a one bedroom suite which advertises a full kitchen in the picture. We were put in a suite without a kitchen and told that that is what we booked via Expedia even though we could prove that we didn’t. We came prepared with our groceries and now had no where to put them or cook them. Ron the manager was helpful and put us in a suite but still not the suite we had booked originally. We had to accept the suite as we needed a kitchen and we didn’t want to have to go through Expedia to get this resolved on a long weekend. This hotel is old and rundown. The cleanliness in the room was not up to our standards but we already had to fight for our room with a kitchen so we let it go. The bed was too firm for our liking. The best part of this hotel is it’s location but we’d rather spend the extra $$$ and stay at the Watermark.
