It's old, but the room wasn't bad. Except ants go back to the floor. And it would have been better if there was a towel rack in the bathroom. The location is really nice because the distance to the beach is close and there are lots of restaurants nearby.

Smells of cigarette smoke
We checked in and then walked into a room that smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. I spoke to the front desk who was very unhelpful and said that they had been “airing it out for 2 days” which tells me they were well aware of the smell prior to check in and should have offered an alternate room at that time. She told me there were no other rooms available and gave me a can of glade air freshener spray. The next morning I went and bought some febreze and an essential oil diffuser to try to cover the smell of cigarette smoke. I went back to speak to the front desk as at this point the smoke smell had given me a headache and we have 2 young children with us. She did show me another room we could move to but it was much smaller and said she would not be able to offer any compensation. We paid for a larger room (as well as a non- smoking room) as we are a family and wanted to enjoy the trip in comfort. I asked to speak to the manager and she said he was not available. She then called someone who she claimed was the manager and said she would not be able to offer any compensation but could offer 15% off at the next stay. The customer service was absolutely horrific. A family with young children should not have to stay in a room filled with cigarette smoke residue or be offered move to a smaller room without compensation.

They had no option to clean the room, even though we were there for five days. The rooms are small and had almost no room to walk- constant all night parties and noise all around us and the dog next-door. The front desk made an issue about lending you broom to sweep your room. Room Seen online was nothing like the cramped filthy spider and bug infested room we got. The parking lot was very narrow and barely fit many vehicles that were there

Hotels website says there is a heated pool and there are pictures of a pool in the hotel.com gallery.....it's closed and has been for 3 years. When I asked the front desk they said they have asked hotel.com/expedia to remove the pictures but that has not happened. The carpets were stained and the floors were dirt. There was an old bread bag clip and a twist tie on the floor. They clearly weren't vacuumed or swept properly. The wallpaper was peeling off in multiple places and the room had a smell of old cigarette smoke. It says the rooms are soundproof however, we could hear everything happening above us. For the price of the room I would expect a better quality experience. The only reason we rated it a 2 was because the location was excellent and the beds were comfortable.

Our first interaction with the staff as we were checking in was very negative and downright rude. On their website they advertise an outdoor heated pool, it has been closed for several years. The reservation was made for six people. The room had inadequate kitchen utensils, towels for only two people, one spare roll of toilet paper, and a chair with three chairs. The room was filthy, there was used tissues behind the night stand, old bandage wrappers behind the other night stand. When I went to the office, which was only open from 10 till 6, to ask for a cleaning I was promptly told that they don't do mid stay cleanings. so I asked for a broom and wet mop so that I could clean the floors. When I finished mopping the water was black. After raising my concerns I was told she would send the manager, I'm still waiting. Upon burning some toast we discovered the smoke detector was not working, even when tested. I would highly recommend against staying at this property.

We liked the location of this property. We could just cross the road and enjoy a fabulous beach. Also enjoyed restaurants neighboring ths motel. This motel should not be named a resort or condominium even though you can rent rooms with a sitting room/tv and sofas and full kitchens. which is what we did. The rooms are tiny, but tastefully decorated and clean. The sofa and chair are not comfortable and would really benefit from some throw pillows. There were very minimal supplies in the kitchen. No towels for washing/drying dishes, no cutting board. In the bathrooms, minimal towels are provided. Bring your own for the beach! Overall, very cheap furnishings and decor (think Dollartree). We had a nice stay and enjoyed our time but the price is a bit high for the quality that this property offers.

We love the place, they allow us to check in earlier without charge. The room was clean, not a fancy place. The swimming pool was close. Our room did have kitchen so we were really glad. The lake is across. Super convenient. We definitely will come back. I always bring my own towels and sheets plus my own cleaning products. The place was cleaned.
