You pay for the character and proximity to train station, Fed Square and South Bank. Although and experienced traveler, I was inclined to get off the streets by 8.30pm and felt safer back at the hotels restaurant/bar!

Would have been a grand hotel in its day, however looks as though there has been no investment in infrastructure in the last 20 years (bald stair carpets etc). Basic, clean rooms for those looking for budget stay

Nice hotel :-)
Basic but excellent hotel, very clean. Looks a bit dodgy but is actually in an excellent location. Would happily stay here again. Staff are a bit miserable, but then again was only there to sleep.

You get what you pay for. I didn't think to take pics. The hotel is at best worn out like travelling back in time but keeping the wear from the future. Check in wasn't the easiest the people on the next counter were off an international flight from India and having all sorts of drama as the names they had booked under didn't match their passport and IDs. The lift was under repair looked like the signs had been up forever lucky we were only on 2nd floor and not much luggage The room is ok double bed the linen was clean but the springs in bed were sticking out in all places and curtains not blockout. The A/Con was split system it worked but was gaffa taped together The bathroom toilet was clean but if door open the whole room stank of sewage from when we walked in, the bathroom as a whole was clean apart from that. TV was cheaper Chinese flat scream but worked. On arriving back at hotel at 1:30am the door was jammed open and some homeless walked out to go to McDonalds or a smoke they had set up camp in the foyer. I promptly made sure the door was locked shut again. On the positive. Its close to all the CBD of Perth. Has a liquor store next door and an IGA close by. Also, its cheap enough that if you want to just stay the night and not worry about Taxi/Uber and full trains full of idiots on a weekend night out the other stuff mentioned earlier balanced out and at a third to quarter price everywhere else it ticks a box. Knowing what I'm getting Id return for the price.

Not great, it was cheap and we only stayed for 1 night but it wasn’t worth it. I should have paid a bit more for a nicer place, it was really dirty and super noisy throughout the night!
