We travelled as a family with a young child. Pros: beautiful quiet and family oriented resort, classy and well maintained, lovely beach, very clean, amazing juice bar and always-open cafe (sweet corner), we were mostly happy with food quality in the restaurants (not the market “buffet”), kid center is great, live music in the evenings, not a party resort. Cons: every single lunch and dinner at the restaurants had a 30 min-1 hour wait, while the restaurants were often half empty. With lots of tables available, they turn guests away or make them wait. Once we finally get a table, it’s another 25-35 mins to put in our order, and finally another 30-45 mins for the food to arrive. Between lunch and dinner, we would spend about 5 hours a day waiting to get a table or waiting for our food. This is unfortunate since we could spend this time on the beach or enjoying activities. The poor management of the restaurants truly affected our stay and experience. Note to parents with young children: arrive at the restaurant 20 mins before they open otherwise you’ll have a hungry kid while waiting over 1.5 hours for the table and food to arrive.

The property is beautiful but not maintained well. Only one outside jacuzzi functional. Nightly entertainment not advertised to guests. It was a daily chore trying to find out where the entertainment was going to be located and the specifics of them because what was posted on a community board was the name of the activity or entertainment only. The restaurants alternated daily therefore guests only had limited options. Room service was very limited, only two menu options with basically the same options in both with a slight variation. Bar in the excellence club was unavailable until 3pm daily. Spa very overpriced! Not a luxury resort!

Excellent resort with a ton of great options for adults and families. Food selection was top notch and the service is incredible. Everyone at the property was exceptional, from Norberto at breakfast, to Francisco around the property and so many waiters at every location that are willing to help out and make your stay special. Very clean property, a lot of activities for kids and the kids activity areas were exceptional. Staff was very friendly. Pool was very nice. There was an issue with the room thermostat, but they fixed it right away. The food could have been better but overall it was great.

Beautiful property! Playa Mujeres is removed from the crazy busy part of Cancún. The service was unbelievably amazing! Shout out to Fredy at the Gusto restaurant for getting me a virgin daiquiri when they don’t even have them there. TWICE! The staff is just fantastic and made a great stay into an amazing stay!

We found this resort to be just okay. Rooms were nice, very minimalist. We paid extra for a swim up suite so we could swim/chill on the patio while our baby takes his naps. But the pool water was so cold, it was difficult to even get into. We found this to be the same case for all the pools at the resort. This led to us not using the pools as much, and other guests seemed to do the same. Pools were virtually empty most of the time. We found the ocean to be warmer! Compared to other resorts we’ve been to, there wasn’t much to do here so we got bored pretty quick. Restaurants were very good though, buffet was average. Probably will not come back, was expecting more based on past reviews. Server Andres at Surf & Turf was great

Great staff and overall a great vacation for our family, including two children ages 7 and 5 and grand parents. The only reason we can't give 5 stars is the dining experience - the food was good, but it was very difficult getting a reservation at the more popular restaurants. If you weren't able to make the restaurants dinner opening, you had to wait over an hour for the next seating. There was also one night where the sheets were changed with slightly damp sheets - that didn't leave a very comfortable sleeping experience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay though!
