I booked late check out and was not appreciative of a knock at the door at 12:03 advising me of the check out time when I was already almost ready and hurrying to leave the room and was in fact slowed by having to respond to the knock on the door. It felt like I was be chased from the room.
While I understand the need to confirm the status of the room by housekeeping, it was clear that the guest, me, was still inside, as my music from my phone was still playing.
I doubt the hotel is at a major loss if a guest is not out at exactly or precisely the check out time, so this approach left me feeling very uncomfortable and unwelcome. If this is a hotel policy, I would recommend that it be tweaked to ensure guest experience and loyalty is considered.
However, I will choose to overlook this experience, as my previous experiences and even the rest of this current visit has been great including the response and care of an injured seagull found in the parking lot by a member of staff. :))
