Property has no ac slept with the balcony open. Not sure I would go in the middle of the summer. This hotel is beautiful and worth the stay

IT'S OKAY. MOTEL QUALITY BUT BIG SIZED. Unique stuff in and around the place is very eclectic. Definitely interesting and natural location spectacular rock sides, which forces highway and train to be close by.

Was a very very bad decision booking at this property. Looks awesome from the highway when you are passing by at 100km/hr. Inside its like from 1800 century. The hotels as well can be called a ghost town. Everything is super old. Beds are horrible. You can hear and feel every spring on the mattress. Everyone of us got back pain. Never will go back. Will suggest either stay in Revelstoke or Salmon arm area. But don't waste your $$ staying here. Very noisy as its having Canada 1 highway (0 meter away) and CP rail track at the back (10m away).

They have a lot of museum items in a large location next to the hotel that we spent hours in. I wish they would hire someone to label the items and give a bit of a summary about the items but it was a unique area. Hotel parking is in a gravel lot and moving lots of suitcases to our room was a pain. The hotel is very outdated and they do not have internet or wifi except in a particular room of the hotel. We didn't get a chance to experience the beach area but that might have turned around my impression of the place. Teenage children would run the hallways playing loud laughing games. I wouldn't come back.

Room door did not have top latch so toddler was able to open door - had to block the door. No window only a patio door, again no way to lock the screen door so had to block it closed with a chair. Property is showing its age. Restaurant staff friendly but portions are small and expensive.

A really unique hotel. Do check it out. Experience what road travelling was like back in the day. Do spend a few hours exploring the Ghost town as well. Everything was well presented and truly cool and funky. It's not a brand new hotel, but is very well maintained, and it being older is the charm.

It is nice that it is a self sustainable property. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, those who were there for the long weekend. It was surprising and disappointing that you were so low in staff that we had to wait for over 20 minutes to find out that we will have to wait another 20 before being seated. Then that we would be better off to just order and take it to our room. The staff tried hard to make us happy and i did appreciate that. The tv chanels it our room were not great and the tv reception was not very clear. Still, we did enjoy our stay and would love to try it again.
