Great getaway hotel

We weren’t able to use the indoor pool because we were told it was at capacity. There weren’t that many people there, I suspect they were understaffed that day.

Purpose of visit was to explore Omega Parc. No food or coffee options available until 7:30am and we needed to be at the park at 7:15am to meet an early morning tour. The staff did not seem to care when we inquired about food and agreed that it would be nice to have a coffee machine and some fruit and muffins available in the lobby for early morning risers and stated that they had many complaints about this and had mentioned to management prior. With the price of this stay $500 per night, nothing and nobody went above and beyond to earn a better rating.

Nice resort but avoid bike rental shop

Accommodations, restaurant, and pool were amazing; bike rental at on site shop was poor with unmaintained bikes, had to upgrade to e-bikes simply because they look to be newer bikes; still had to do basic maintenance on these newer bikes like fix pedals, inflate tires, and tighten blots on both bikes Didn’t realize that there were hotel bikes that were free; these bikes looked to be in better conditions than the reservation only bikes Realize that Montebello vélo is a separate outfit but it is on the resort grounds and there should be a certain standard of service expected of them The MTB trails and grounds were great but if I return I will bring my own bike; this place could revival Sentiers du Moulin, Empire 47, or Valle Bras Du Nord if the bike rental and shop got its act together

Amazing. Just amazing! Staff is incredible. So many activities on the grounds, it’s impossible to get bored for even a second. Zero complaints, probably my best stay at a Fairmont ever.

The spa treatment was excellent. The great hall and rooms are warm and inviting and the grounds are lovely. The staff are professional and welcoming.

We were kept waiting to check into our room until around 5pm. When we asked for S’mores for the campfire it took a very long time to get them, and honestly for $20 it was a tiny amount. The bottles of body lotion etc were almost empty or completely empty. And some of the passageways had a rundown look to them. When we went to the pool, the attendants didn’t even look up when I asked them a question. To be fair they were eating lunch so maybe they were on break, but they were sitting at the desk so it was not clear. Also the large amount of mountain bikers made walking around the grounds especially to and from the parking lot chaotic and a little unsafe even when trying to cross at the cross paths. Overall it was a lackluster and disappointing experience where we had high hopes especially due to the price point and reputation of the hotel and chain. The surrounding town and restaurants were lovely as well as Parc omega, and the grounds were very pretty!

We were two moms taking our 11yr old daughters for some relaxation and swimming. The stay was almost perfect. The staff is so welcoming and helpful, the accommodations just as I remember from every other stay there, and the food always delicious. Our only little issues were the tv didn’t work in our room and there were no bathrobes available till late evening. But otherwise it was a blissful trip

Château Montebello is an unique expérience. We were amazed by the beauty and the uniqueness of the hotel. There is a lot of activities that you can make independently of the season.

Romantic gateway

Romantic gateway. Room are getting old, with lights that had issue and strange noise all the times. Service was good, and restaurant service was great also. Nice field to walk around the hotel.

We were offered a renovated room. However, opted for the classic. The room was quite warm and opening the window while an option was not something we could maintain through the night. The air conditioner turned on but was not cooling.

The onsite restaurant is not very good for dinner, and terribly overpriced, cheap wines ($13-$14 a bottle) cost about $25 a glass... there are no other options on site, which is unfortunate.
