My stay here was good, but its the smallest room I've ever had. Haha It was clean and smelled fresh. The bed was comfortable. There were a couple of snts scouting around the bathroom, but not enough to be a problem. My main critism was my view. There was a building blocking sny hope of a view

Our stay was very pleasant. The room was very clean and the staff were very accommodating. I would recommend the Sunbeam Motel for travelers looking for a clean room within walking distance of downtown with very reasonable rates.

Nice motel to stay in that is close and convenient to all that SLO has to offer. Rooms are clean, well appointed, comfortable and great for a few nights stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. For the price a fantastic spot.

Wife and I booked a 2-night stay for our first ever trip to San Luis Obispo. Arriving by Amtrak, we walked the one mile through a mix of residential and commercial neighborhoods. Our room wasn't available for early check-in so Jerry, Owner-Manager, held our luggage and delivered them to our room. Our queen bed room was spacious and included a desk/chair and small table with 2 chairs. We appreciated the original hard wood flooring, and the wood furniture. The TV and bathroom was on the small side. Towels were replaced daily to our pleasant surprise. The water pressure and hot water temp were decent. The property is being renovated so there is a mix of old with new (like SLO). No frills though there's free parking. It's an easy walk to the fun downtown area, and for those needing more steps, we also walked up to the Cal-Poly campus. Given the high prices for SLO lodging, the Sunbeam offered an incredibly value. The owner grew up in SLO, attended Cal-Poly, and had a corporate career before returning home to run the family business. It's a good feeling to support a locally owned business.

I would stay again
Room was older (liked the real wooden floors!) but clean and adequate. Room was small and set up nicely with table, chairs and desk. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bathroom was tiny but clean with everything we needed.
