We stayed here at the beginning of July and loved it ,so we thought we would come back for my wife’s birthday to see if it was a one off good stay or are we going to make this our go to when we visit San Simeon. We arrived early because the traffic was light, so we thought we would check to see if we could get in our room. Not only were we able to get in, but our upgrade request was honored. We were in a premium king with a fire place on the second floor with a balcony and my wife loved it. We then went by and grabbed some lunch and the bacon burgers were great. Then sun set came and the view from the room was beautiful!!!!!!!! We will being staying again for sure.

Perfect place to relax
Our stay was wonderful, the staff was very kind and friendly. The room was clean and very comfortable. The view from the balcony was beautiful, we were lucky to see dolphins from our room. We can't wait to go back.

The property is a good size, very nice and welcoming, the views are amazing, it doesn't get old. The front desk staff, 1 was talking to much with other guest, and just joking around, so it got frustrating waiting there, i understand customer service, but when youve been driving all day and all you want is a shower and a bed, you just want to be checked in and not listen to nonsense, thankfully the other lady came in and helped us right away, but that was after we had been waiting for awhile. The rooms are a good size, very clean, but alittle out dated for the price. But overall it was a good experience other than waiting to be checked in

It was a great find … right Infront of the Pacific Ocean … serene beach … huge chess and other board games at the beach .. heated pools … bon fire right at the beach with the waves crashing on the shore sounds … it was just amazing .. my kid , husband and I loved it

The location of the Cavalier hotel is stunning. However, the guest rooms are dated, drab and minimally clean. When booking the reservation, I had thought that we would be getting a balcony or outside area. The room we received was barely a 2 star motel room, no balcony, no outside area and a view of the parking lot. The website is very misleading and the high rate paid was ridiculous for the accommodations we received. As much as we enjoyed the location, we will never stay at this property again. Restaurant on property was also highly disappointing.

We needed a weekend getaway and this was definitely the place. Patio had the View of the ocean, private and serene. Waking up to the crashing waves and the sun rising as well as watching the sunset together. To top off our stay on our last day we saw dolphins from the patio. Even the beds were extremely comfortable. We did the deluxe room with patio

Location is great. Oceanfront. But that’s about it. Rooms smelt bad, very outdated. Filthy carpet in the rooms. Definitely don’t recommend staying here. Might be worth driving a little further and finding a better place. Definitely not worth the price you pay. Minus it’s ocean front location, feels like a motel 6 (which actually might be nicer)

We were visiting the nearby State Park and Elephant Seal Viewing Area, both of which were outstanding! The front desk staff was friendly and check in was quick. Room was clean with the fire place ready to be used if desired. The restaurant was great, especially the Prime Rib special! It would have been better if the rooms had a mini kitchen with utensils.

The room was very nice. The beach was hard to walk on. Too many rocks and debris. The room had a really nice view of the beach and the grounds. Balcony was set up very nice.

**Cavalier Oceanfront Resort** 9415 Hearst Dr, San Simeon, CA 93452 Our stay at the Cavalier Oceanfront Resort was fantastic. The hotel offers beautiful views and is conveniently located close to Hearst Castle. The room was clean, and the staff was wonderful, especially Roxy, who was incredibly helpful during the check-in process. The check-in and check-out were easy, and the stay was very affordable for such a stunning view. I highly recommend this hotel.
