I booked this hotel through Expedia, but the room description was misleading. There was no mention of the room having no window or being so incredibly tiny. With just two carry-ons, it was almost impossible to move around. In Japan, hotels typically list the square footage, so you know what to expect—unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. The bathroom design was shocking. The toilet seat was so close to the glass divider that sitting down was nearly impossible. Whoever designed it must have a sense of humor! To make matters worse, the bath water was not hot, and the overall room temperature was freezing. The control panel didn’t work, and despite calling the front desk multiple times, they barely did anything to resolve the issue. The bath design also caused water to flow under the sink, creating a huge mess every time we used it. The customer service was equally disappointing. When I requested a room change—a fair request given the issues—I was met with a dismissive “this is what it is” response, with no apology or effort to address the situation. This stay was far below expectations. Between the poor design, cold room, unhelpful staff, and misleading listing, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I really enjoyed my stay here but all I can say that its downfall was, was the bathroom shower. I had to use a folded up towel to stop the water from leaking through the shower door. But aside from that, the housekeeping was good, the room was good and the staff were friendly.

Overall we were somewhat disappointed and, sad to say, probably won’t revisit but here are some pros & cons Pros - Location - fabulous Jo Chiat St - lots of places to eat - Building - outside stylish conversion of old shop houses & stylish lobby - Staff - lobby staff v friendly - Wi-Fi - good - Amenities - safe, tea & coffee, kettle, etc - Aircon - works Cons - Bathroom - tiny + shower floods bathroom floor into room - No windows or natural light - Thin Sound insulation - easy to hear neighbours at 3am or partygoers loud in corridor - Hairdryer in room - didn’t work - Aircon - has a mind of its own Unfortunately unable to get much sleep so our experience wasn’t good - suggest the hotel look at a solution for the shower cubicle & hope future guests have quiet fellow travellers

Unique wall and ceiling design. Standard room is good for people travelling light coz floor space is limited to just a few luggage. Staff were friendly & approachable.The frontdesk lady, Putri, even helped us book a taxi when she found out we were having trouble with transportation.
