Initially we were placed in a room near the lifts. The room was very noisy from lift sounds. We were moved to another room due to noises. This next room was smaller but main complaint I have staying in a 5 star hotel is that we didn’t have any bottled water or milk in the room and the spot in the bathroom where I believe the water filter tap was supposed to be was just a hole in the bench. Also not even a biscuit to have with a cup of tea.

On level 39 the sound of construction work during the day all day was unbearable and incredibly loud. I was not informed by staff that it would be taking place which would have been very much appreciated. Also cleaning staff, although very polite, would knock on the door or try to enter the room every day despite the 'do not disturb' sign being on, which has never happened before. I stay regularly at the Hilton but probably won't stay there again.

The attention to detail and the high end products in the rooms were just fabulous! The professionalism and kindness of the restaurant staff was of such a high standard, it was so very refreshing! We enjoyed a two night stay at the Hilton Sydney in a twin executive room. The executive lounge was great and offered a good selection of food and drink options. The twin room only offers two single beds but it was fine for my mum and I even though I had assumed the beds would be bigger. It was great to have a bath and separate shower in the bathroom. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Their check in system had crashed and they were very efficient in dealing with the hundreds of people trying to check in on a Friday afternoon ahead of a busy weekend in Sydney. The Hilton Sydney location is perfect for easy access to public transport and walking distance to both the Circular Quay area and Darling harbour. Would definitely recommend and will stay again!

Average experience
Check in wasn’t as pleasant as I’d hoped. The woman was very stern and her energy wasn’t warm or inviting. Just not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Also really annoying there was literally no conditioner left in the large bottle attached to the wall when I showered, how can that be missed? Got locked out of our room as our key didn’t work after coming back from the pool so had to stand in wet swimmers and towels for 10 minutes until someone came. There was no apology from both the person on the phone (felt like I was a burden) and then again no apology from the guy delivering our new keys. Overall it was comfortable and facilities were great but just not up to the standard of a 5 star.

It was good so far but while i stay we should hear noisy from the renovation the other rooms and nobody mentioned it about It was bit dissapointed.

Rooms small but nicely renovated. Dinner in Glass brasserie was superb albeit service a little slow. Would have thought for the price and quality of the food and wine,service may have been a bit better

The first room I was assigned was lovely but next to the elevator bank and had excessive noise. This needs to be rectified or the rooms offered to hard of hearing customers or significantly discounted price. The final room was perfect albeit more expensive.

Had another wonderful stay at the Hilton Sydney. I love love love walking out the main door and into the QVB for some shopping! The staff were so lovely and the coffee cart in the lobby is a great way to start the day!
