I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the bed and cleanliness of the room. The shower took 10mins to warm up. There was signage to flag this which was appreciated. I would stay here again.

The staff member who checked us out was very helpful, the rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Thought I’d find a shared bathroom challenging but it wasn’t an issue at all

This hotel room was very impressive for an economy room. Had good air conditioner, microwave, fridge, tv, window with greenery outside, tea and coffee with jug, very clean, confortable bed. Shared bathroom facilities good and safe. Also a lift. Close to Martin Place and Wynyard so excellent location. Staff pleasant and helpful. You are given a room key and a key to get into hotel after hours. Am happy to stay again.

Stayed for one night on Sunday because of a live show on Sunday night and I had to work on Monday. The Occidental Hotel is very close to where I work. Booked and stayed there for the first time. Pub and Restaurant was closed therefore no noises, it was nice and quiet. The room was a bit small but for only a night, and considering the price, no complains. Microwave in the room was a nice addition to the minimalist room. If I have to stay in the city, I would love to come back. However, the Occidental Hotel constantly booked out, now I understand why :)

I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely choose this place again. My room was clean, bed was comfortable but the best feature is the location. You are close to all the major Sydney sights, restaurants, pubs and shopping. The price was great for what you get. Highly recommended.
