This place must have been really something back in its heyday, 90 years ago... But it is tired and needs a refit. The rooms are large and spacious with wraparound balconies, and came complete with GIANT SPIDERS!!!! Parking is tight to say the least. We tried to sample the pub fare, but after waiting 45 minutes for our food to come, we gave up and went into town for dinner.

Older facility with tile floor in bathroom, old bathroom fixtures, layout of room was compact for the 4 of us with 2 queen beds and really know place for us to put our things, small fridge was clunky, view from the water was spectacular, food was so so in the restaurant, my child loved the pool, was so quiet with no traffic sounds, very peacful

The staff were great. The receptionist worked tirelessly with aplomb and friendliness - despite some grumpy people, and being quite busy. The view is lovely, and the activity info was great. I'm not sure if early season hiring etc- but the suite was quite in need of dusting, and cobweb removal. Toothpaste on mirror/ wall/ door from previous guests. Duvet cover on bed rather than on the duvet. There weren't any dish towels or rags available in kitchenette, nor dish rack, which was a bit awkward. The wood accents were pleasant, lots of storage- but main closet door didn't work (slider seemed jammed). Bathroom isn't really feasible to do makeup in with door position and size. This may have been on me, room didn't include a tub, which I thought I had booked (but, not all rooms did, so I may have mis-booked and ocean view rooms don't have tubs). Overall, perhaps a bit pricey for current conditions (if anticipating a functional suite for multi day stay). Would return for view, proximity to highway, and friendly staff (and efficiency of check in/ out & parking!).

Lovely place right on the waterfront looking across to Quadra Island. Didn't get time to use the pool but was disappointed that the two hot tub pools were no longer in use. Apart from that small point, we loved our stay here - just wish we had more time there.

Rustic, basis accommodation. Tiny basic bathroom, sink in alcove outside bathroom. -Small 3 foot closer. Nowhere to unpack clothes - live out of your suitcase. Breakfast buffet ran out of food. Apparently built as a fishing lodge. Definitely not the place for a luxury retreat.

It was a beautiful, quiet and clean place. We enjoyed our one night stay in there. The front desk staff was not very nice to us but John was kind enough to help me plan for my husband's birthday.
