The Building is 60 years old and its design shows it. The slider leading to the petite balcony looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years, The bathroom sink [ and basic surrounding surface area ] were meager at best. The unit "Acting" as a closet was small and poorly designed. No Exhaust vent in the bath room and a door that provided no real privacy. The water pressure in the Shower [ which floor provided no surface grip,,,made it easy to slip,..begging for a law suit ] However, returning to the water pressure,.. It was erratic in temperature and flow. The staff was great,..the Hotel won't see me again.

Our stay at the Crowne Plaza in Ventura was exceptional! The staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. From the valet team’s warm greeting and assistance with our luggage to Sydney at the front desk, who checked in daily via text to ensure our stay was going well, every detail was thoughtfully managed. Special recognition goes to Daniel, the bartender, who crafted a custom cocktail based on my preferences and shared his extensive knowledge of mixology. The dining options were equally impressive. The lobby bar and restaurant menus offered a variety of creative and delicious dishes. Highlights included the popcorn with brown butter, sage, and shaved Parmesan—unique and flavorful. The fish tacos with pomegranate seeds were a delightful combination, and the salmon toast with roasted capers was fresh and tasty. Even the desserts, ordered via room service, were exceptional. The Sambuca Raspberry Tart and Chocolate Caramel Crunch with vanilla ice cream were beautifully presented and tasted amazing. I also want to commend Gina, the outstanding General Manager. She is clearly the driving force behind the hotel’s positive atmosphere. Her leadership style is inspiring—she’s hands-on, approachable, and genuinely cares about both guests and her team. Gina was present throughout our stay, from ensuring guests were happy in the bar to assisting staff in the restaurant and even delivering desserts herself after a long day. I would definitely recommend the experience!

The best sunrise and sunset view! Staff was amazing from valet to check in. Room was super clean and the area is close to everything. Went walking downtown for dinner and drinks a great place within walking distance of anything you can imagine.
