Kings Park and Botanic Garden, Perth
This place is very green, calm and relaxing, with an excellent view of downtown Perth. The cafe has everything you need, and you could spend hours in the gift shop (I did!) - they have a range of Perth-specific stuff, but also Australiana and generally fun merchandise. There's also a fancy restaurant if you need something more upmarket, and there are bus tours that leave from the lookout area every half an hour or so. LOVE the view!
Burswood, Perth
We managed to get a baby sitter while in Perth and went off to win our fortune at the big house . Much to our delight we had a win so headed for the dance floor sounds of the Groove bar on a Friday night . We bought a couple of drinks found a seat and settled into the smooth sounds of Decoy and soon were up having a dance . A great night had by all.
Fremantle, Perth
Free Free Free this museum is free and is the best museum we saw on our Western Australian trip. We did sneak along side a school tour group and got our three kids engaged with tales of Mutiny Gold and pirate's as the tale of the Dutch Ship the Batavia became reality to all. The Museum has painstakingly taken years to bring a 388 year old sunken wreck back to it's former glory.

This is a little bit of rooftop heaven in the Northbridge district. To get in you'll need to seek out the entrance to an alleyway decorated with some fine street art. It is only a small spot so get in early to grab a prime spot on the tiered terrace.
