Good rooms, poor pool area.
The updated rooms are nice, comfortable, cozy and comfortable, but lacking some kitchen ammenities (had to call the desk for a cooking tray so we could use the oven). There was some glass outside our room so had to be cautious with our dogs. The biggest downside of this resort was the old pool and hot tubs. The outdoor hot tub was too cold to sit in comfortably and was pretty dirty. The indoor hot tub was very scummy and dirty, we ran to the showers after noticing the condition. They have updated a lot of the resort, including the change room for the pools, but they really need to update that whole pool area now.

Loved the cabin we stayed in. Pool area is in dire need of repair. I preferred outdoor hot tub given the state of indoor hot tub pool. Flooring appears uneven and sinking in some areas. Hopefully the owners will renovate the pool area. The grounds are lovely. Very quiet and reasonable rates. Staff was prompt to meet our requests! A great stay! Cabin was well stocked too!

The fire place was a nice touch. The condo style room we rented worked very well for our group of 3. It would have be nice if there was a complementary breakfast, but the food at the restaurant in the lobby was still good.

I was amazed at this hotel for everything they did to ensure a comfortable stay. Not only was the check-in easy, the front staff provided pet beds, dishes, as well as toys for the fur babies. A bonus was that the bathtub was nice and big so I could enjoy a nice soak after walking the trails nearby (I am tall so the struggle is real lol). They also put me on the floor level facing the woods so that my dogs would be comfortable and could access the trails easier. I always choose this hotel when I stay in Banff and will continue to do so because they treat me and my dogs better than anywhere else I have ever been.

Quick getaway
This was a quick get away after a afternoon of skating at Lake Louise. The pros: Bed was comfortable. Easy access into Banff town. About a 3 minute drive in. Pet friendly. The cons: Train went by and blew it's whistle (not super loud) almost every hour. Sofa bed had crumbs and dirt when we opened it up. Stayed only one night and was still worth it

The room was large and well appointed. The pool area and outdoor hot tub were great. Staff came around with coffee supplies and towels etc. I only saw one thing I didn’t like, the pool area is not locked and you can enter it from outside the hotel whether you are staying at the hotel or not. Saturday morning there was a transient person grooming themselves in the pool change room! The door should be locked and entered with a room keycard like every other hotel I’ve been too.

We were in a 2 bed room on the ground level. It had been recently updated with vinyl flooring, as probably the room above us had been. Unfortunately this meant that every time they walked around, it echoed into our room. It was a family, so day and night, it was so loud. Not their fault, just really poor insulation. We left early so we wouldn’t have to endure another terrible sleep. But when we went to check out, the clerk seemed very confused and didn’t know how to do it. I tried explaining that I agreed to pay the whole bill, regardless if we stayed or not, but it was still a mess. The parking lot was super slick with ice and no gravel placed down until our 2nd day there. The outdoor hot tub was also out of service while we were there and pool agitated our skin. The restaurant was quite tasty and well priced. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

We have stayed here every year for almost 10 years. Usually love it but this visit was abysmal.Greeted by a front door that didn't work properly. Dirty kitchen floor, bathroom sink and carpet in bedroom. We cleaned up and settled in. TV remote didn't work, no matches for fire, lotion dispenser broken, all bathroom fixtures very rusted and wobbly. Called reception to request matches, new remote, a set of towels and a chair ( missing both). Took hours and 5 calls to receive. Ended up walking over to main building to get a chair myself to use for kitchen table. The outdoor hot tub was broken, we called right before booking to ensure it was working ok. The indoor pool area was the dirtiest I've ever seen it. The ladies shower rooms were again so dirty, towels and rubbish everywhere. Two guests warned us how bad the pool area was before entering. The showers were cold after our swim so we left without one as did 5 other ladies. The guest upstairs were incredibly loud. Called reception twice to ask if they could notify them around 1am. No change so no sleep for our family ( I know this is not the hotels fault per say). Lucky we are the type to just get on with it and make the most of it but I will never again recommend this hotel to anyone which is very disappointing as we loved it! We sent a message to the hotel with the issues just so they are aware and got zero reply so I am unsure that the management there have any interest now in giving customers a good experience, unfortu

I called two weeks prior to arrival and requested a certain block for my husband and I’s first anniversary. I was told no problem and that notes would be placed on my reservation to secure that particular block (we had stayed there before and loved it). When we arrived we had to wait 1/2 hour past checkin time and then were given keys to a completely different block. We also reserved with a cat and were placed in a no pet room. I called and notified the front desk that we were not in the block promised 2 weeks prior and that we were in a no pet room. I was told that since we booked with Expedia that they, the property, had no idea we had an animal. So how did they know how many people were on my reservation. Expedia only sends a portion of the reservation? What a load of nonsense. I then mentioned that it was our first anniversary and the clerk said they do something special for those events. She apologized and said she’d sent something over. I told her no alcohol as I am a non drinker. About five minutes later a young man knocked and handed my husband a bottle of white wine. Upon check out I was asked about my stay. I told the desk clerk that we were coming back in March and that we decided to stay elsewhere due to the lack of service we received. Her response “oh that’s too bad”. This place may be cheap, but you get the service you pay for unfortunately.
