Crisp and clean. Check-in was a breeze. Right in the heart of the Theater District in Boston. An easy walk to the Boston Common and Downtown Crossing.

Mostly worth it.
The room had a weird odor to it. I wasn't quite sure if it was the cleaning chemicals they used or something else entirely. It was more of a slight annoyance rather than a deal breaker. The room amenities were very nice otherwise. Just be careful, they leave two metallic water bottles for your use throughout the stay. Unfortunately, you need to read the fine print, because once you crack the seal they charge you $7 per water bottle used. Come on, that's a nickel and dime business practice.

The hotel is too gimmicky. The ambience geared towards start up tech bros, but the quality is not all that great. It is very very noisy. Instead of investing into these gimmicks, maybe invest in more insulated windows so that we can't hear every single noise from the busy area. Also, the food choices at the bar were limited, and again, I'd rather have old fashioned restaurant/bar in the hotel rather than the hipsterish bar. Also, the daily $35 visit fee, or whatever, came out of nowhere--it would have been nice to be notified of that at the beginning of the visit.

Great location and easy access to the T. Small rooms and not quiet. There is a sound machine in the room that is amazing though…lol. You miss the little things in this type of hotel like a mini fridge, coffee maker (there is free coffee at the bar in the back corner), and places to put things as there is not a dresser or table per say (there is a folding table hanging on the wall). Would not stay at a moxy again just because of its minimalist style and amenities. It was a pleasant stay and a nice hotel though. Don’t stay here if you perfer a quieter environment though.

I had the best stay. We were attending a show at the Wang Center and the Moxy was so convenient being right next door. It was clean, minimalistic, and quiet.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Moxy Hotel. The staff were very polite and helpful. The food was off the chart amazing! If I ever visit Boston again I will definitely choose this hotel to stay at as well as recommend to my family and friends.

The Moxy was a good spot for getting all over Boston. Most places were walkable within a mile. Lots of options of places to walk for food, drinks, shopping and history. We had a corner room which was small. There was no space to really put anything and no real counter space in the bathroom. The noise from the main road was quite noticeable; they love their horns in Boston. Overall it was good, we just would have liked a little more square footage.

Great stay at Moxy Boston. My room was small, but comfortable. My only complaint was that there was no one there to let us know that there was no parking garage connected to the hotel. We had to push our luggage down the street.

I’m not sure Gen X is the target demographic
This seemed like kind of a “hostel on steroids.” The room was tiny (although the bathroom was awesome!) and there’s a lot of emphasis on gathering in common areas to do fun things. My greatest quibbles arise from this effort: (1) there is no coffee maker in the room, so one has to plod down to the far corner of the bar to pour a cup, by which point you feel as tho you should pay for it (but you don’t) and (2) similarly, use of any coupons is not an intuitive process, requiring interaction with a human, while opportunities to nickel and dime one’s credit are abound. (Also, the constant pop / hip hop music in the lobbies and elevators was a bit much - but I’m old.)

Best Hotel I have ever stayed at.
Spent the night at the Moxy because it was near the Want center for a show my girlfriend came to see (Kevin Heart). The Kevin Heart show wasn’t the best. But at least our stay at the Moxy was very nice. Friendly service, clean room, and great atmosphere. This hotel will now be my place to stay whenever I come to Boston, the location is perfect. We also had a very good dinner at a restaurant in China town.
