Exceptionally clean and well-maintained hotel, with exceptionally nice staff. Location is brilliant, easy walk to shops, restaurants, esplanade and lagoon (and casino if anybody wants that). It has a beautiful coffee room on level 1 which is available free to guests, e.g., to do office or computer work. Points of caution: 1. There is no parking, but it is close to the public car park attached to the Hilton Hotel. Parking there costs $30 per night, plus a little more if you park there during the day. You just pay with a bank card each time you go out. The combination still works out substantially cheaper than other hotels of comparable quality. There is a lot of street parking near the hotel, but it is generally impossible to find a spot during the day, any day. 2. The windows in the rooms don't open, so fumes build up over time and cannot disperse.

The Abbott Boutique Hotel is a charming retreat with a lot to offer. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, making every interaction warm and welcoming. Its excellent location is another highlight, with easy access to harbour, local attractions and dining options. One of my favorite aspects was the lounge, a perfect space to relax or mingle with fellow guests in a cozy atmosphere. However, I found the near-constant use of air infusion a bit overwhelming, though I must admit it was effective in managing the damp smell. Overall, it’s a delightful stay, with minor quirks that are easily outweighed by its many positives.

The Abbott is a gem!
We could not have been happier with our stay at The Abbott! It was so conveniently located to everything we needed. The room was perfectly tidy and clean, the bathroom was a good size, great water pressure and shower, wonderful “products”. The room was plenty big for all our bags and family. Loved the Nepresso and Mentos! Sorry I ate most of them! The gentleman at the front reception was gracious and helpful. We will be back!

Work trip, felt at home in the heart of the CBD.
I was in Cairns on business, and I would happily take my wife back for a getaway to this boutique hotel in Cairns. Little extra touches, including the humidifiers that were incredibly relaxing , other touches like the lounge area with coffee, quality biscuits and complementary water made me feel at home.

Exceptionally friendly staff. Juan out of his way the second day. Great Nespresso coffee machine options.. lady working there took quite an interest in recommending options. Great location a short walk from the scenic boardwalk. Lots of dining and shopping options. Enjoyed our nice VIP Sauvignon Blanc. Only improvement would be more malleable pillows and a duvet and cover instead of one top sheet and a blanket in the cupboard.

Although there isnt the views of the local area of other (higher) places nearby, the hotel looked very new with a great common area with free machine made coffee, free bottled and cold water and ice. The common area was large and bright and over looked the street and off set a small but comfortable room. Great location. Friendly staff.

Great choice
Perfect hotel at the right price. Fancy coffee machine in the lounge, liked the location. Room seemed a little damp, but that’s pretty much the whole city! Great air conditioning, which we appreciated.

Everything was perfect! The staff are amazing, the room was so clean and modern, and everything was within walking distance. Great Nespresso machine for morning coffee! Also, I love that I was able to do my laundry right at the hotel! I highly recommend staying here!

My stay in The Abbott Boutique Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. The front desk patron (Argentian man) was friendly, accommodating, and a truly wonderful person to work with. Our room was clean and our luggage was even taken care of by the front desk person as we were traveling on a liveaboard the following days after our stay. Highly recommend The Abbott!
