A beautiful week spent at Blue Lagoon Resort in a studio apartment overlooking the poolwhich was clean and met all our needs. Lovely mornings and cool evenings spent on the balcony overlooking the pool. Great, central location to base ourselves for the week to explore the local area. A nice range of local eateries and shops all within walking distance added to the appeal. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming offering various suggestions and recommendations for the local area. We'll definitely be back to the Blue Lagoon on our next trip to the Cairns region.

Couch needs replacing (grubby), $5 for pool towels hire invites criticism, bathroom needs an exhaust fan, very noisy being close to main road. Everything else was excellent and we enjoyed our stay.

We were fortunate to be in one of the 4 storey blocks which had a lift and basement parking. It had a balcony overlooking the pool area, but was private when sitting outside. Our room was a studio with king size bed and cooking facilities, and the bathroom was equipped with washer and dryer. Starter milk, coffee, tea and sugar provided. Full size fridge. The pool was heated. There is another lap pool which is not. The studios share a lobby with the adjacent unit. Nice restaurant at the entry to the complex, and several more choices at the waterfront. Bus stop near the shops, just a few minutes away. The facility is on a lagoon, which is lovely for walks, and the waterfront area is easy walking with nice pathways. We would stay again in these blocks with elevators. Just a note on parking - there are about 6 parks outside each of the 4 storey blocks. The basement parking in one is quite tight to get into - fine for our smaller vehicle (Corolla Cross) but may not be possible with a Ford Range or similar.

Sheets and towels were replaced during 9 night stay, but that was it. I swept the room but couldnt find a dustpan there was a neat pile in the corner which they didnt remove. I had to buy my own toilet paper as there was none.

We loved our stay, it was central to everything we wanted to do. We stayed for 2 weeks in a one bedroom apartment, it had everything we needed. The cleaners came in mid stay to change towels and bedding.

We like staying here and have stayed here before, its clean convenient and located close enough to all of Cairns highlights. The only thing we would suggest is to wall mount the television to allow more bench space and to make it more visible from the seating.
