The first impression was horrible.My partner and i checked in on Sat 5th after an amazing time at Crystalbrook Riley in Cairns. Upon areival we were so excited to come to Palm Cove but the way i was treated at the check in desk was disgusting. The first words we heard were "Credit Card and ID".?????? I was horrified as i have been in hospitality for oner 20 years incl working at many resorts and hotels. Even after she could see i was upset she continued with the hostililty. We then arrived in our ocean spa room to find the balcony was covered in bird poop and the view was ruined by the roof below us that hadnt been cleaned in years. We ate at La Mesa complimentary only because i had to go and speak to the assist manager Daniel,he was lovrly and understanding, but to be honest we will never return. The pool was nice but the lack of experience from the pool bar staff was disappointing. Not once were our sheets changed nir any rubbish removed after housekeeping had done their job . The best part of the stay at Palm Cove was when we left the hotel for all of our meals and walks on the stunning beach.
