0 star from us I recently stayed at Crown Paradise and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. Unfortunately, the food was absolutely awful—so bad that two of us ended up feeling quite ill. The front desk staff were extremely horrible rude and obnoxious, treating guests poorly. It was frustrating to have to retrieve our own towels from a distant location, especially with small children in tow. If you don’t return the towel cards, be prepared to incur extra charges, which adds to the inconvenience. Customer service was virtually nonexistent; they didn’t answer the phone, leaving us feeling stranded in case of an emergency. It was disheartening to realize that the slides and amenities couldn’t make up for the overall lack of quality in both food and service. I would not recommend Crown Paradise and will definitely not be returning.

Older property that could use tune up in the bathroom. The tub was old and basically crumbling plastic in places. Otherwise it was a nice and large room. Great view too. The water gets deep very fast on the beach and not ideal for families with little kids. Lots of pools, minimal shade though

I expected average quality food before going but the food was just terrible. We did go outside the hotel to eat (the food wasn’t really that great and was expensive). The hotel is clean, which was important for us. The staff cleaning our rooms did a great job. If you like to workout, don’t book this hotel. The workout room was old and like a sauna. Only some old treadmills and old bikes, weight equipment. We booked this hotel because they had a kids club and thought we could get a few hours free to ourselves. Unfortunately they only have an hour in the morning and afternoon for dropping off kids. The other time is “family time” where you have to stay with the kids. So no break for us at the resort with two 3 year olds and a 5 and 7 year old. The kids loved the pools (the highlight of the week). I don’t believe we will ever go back to this resort.

It is certainly a fun place for kids. I loved the way the bars catered to children as much as they did to adults. The big menu with virgin kids drinks at each bar was super cool. The shows were awesome. I feel like it was a good option for families on a budget. It is really hard to get a reservation for the restaurants but we did get in 2 reservations in our 6 night stay and they were really good. There is a sushi bar every day that is decent too. Don't worry if you read some negative reviews, their overall rating is 7 out of 10 and there is a lot to like so don't listen to people who choose to nitpick. The only complaint i think worth mentioning is the beds are so hard, its hard to sleep and you wake up sore every day. Due to that I rate them 4 out of 5 stars.

Waited 30 minutes for transportation,booked MTS through Expedia. At minimum they should have offered water during the wait. However, Flor Velasquez was very sweet and gave us a free tour to Matises jewelry and tequila store and then to Playa Del Carmen. Per Expedia’s website bathroom amenities we should have been provided bath robes and we never saw them. Crown Room, Ocean View (Club Level /Tina Hidromasaje Check in was very pleasant. I didn't catch his name but was very welcoming. As he explained about restaurant reservations he mentioned they weren't taking reservations for Italian and Mexican restaurant. They were accepting walk ins, which made it easier as many people have trouble making reservations. In order to get through you need to make reservations at exactly 7:59 am. Following staff went out of their way to make us feel special. Angel & Jesus - los botones Ximena: hostess- Los Gallos Yanely - buffet Christian: waiter - Wayne's boots Josefina: Nittro night club Moises: bar tender @ 8th floor Will I ever stay here again NO!! Just because I don't care to be around so many kids with parents that don't care to educate them. Respect people, that's what it's called. If I'm in a pool and have a ball thrown across my face several times by unrespectful people then I will avoid places like this. My husband and I literally had to leave to avoid any problems. Also, I don't appreciate the fact that they only have 1 adult pool away from the ocean. Definitely this is not

Our stay was average. After reading all the reviews, I was very worried going in. Once we arrived the view at the lobby out on to the ocean lifted my spirits. AC in all 4 our rooms worked. The food seemed as watered down as the drinks. They have a very nice adult only section and had fun slides for the kids. The beach was very accessible. To have a good time where you feel taken care of, you have to tip. They remember those that do and go above and beyond for those requests from the staff. The available restaurants they have are very strict about not seating you without a reservation. The food was better there but still 5/10. Pools and the beach made it hard to be upset, beautiful views from the balcony; wish they had more shade in the general areas. Decent stay but would not come back to this one again.
