My partner was hurt on the property with only being on the resort for 3 hours. The Resort never told us there was a Dr. on the property. After 24hrs. in pain and several trips & concerns about the injury, the front desk sent us to the Dr. At first they were not going to pay for the visit but with my demands for them to pay for it they did. The Resort finally fixed the area where the accident happened after a day but refused to do anything else for my friend. After many more meetings and 3 days later with the managers, they offered to send us back to the Dr. which he suggested we go to the hospital for an X-ray. That was only if we sign a paper that we wouldn’t bad talk the resort and th we release them of any wrongdoing. He refused because we were leaving the next morning and could go to an American hospital. Our issue is the resort never checked on him after the accident. They should have sent him to the Dr. immediately. Never asked if we needed a wheelchair, room service for food etc. because the injury was his foot. He couldn’t go in the pool, to the beach or anywhere because the resort was of no help. They did offer to pay for a dinner(food was included in the package) or a free ride to the airport. What an insult. What can Expedia do about this?

We really enjoyed our stay. Giovanni was master behind the bar and the staff kept every area of the hotel clean! Food was good, especially Marco Polo, and the pool was amazing. Beach location was perfect. Not a long ride from the airport, highly recommend!

The staff were great and kind. The front desk was accommodating, and informative. The timeshare people were pushy, even when we attended the presentation, we had people still asking us to attend it. The property itself is outdated, they need new poolside loungers, they were so dirty and gross. Our room was also dirty. The bed sheets were itchy and we even found sand on our sheets. We also found what looked to be a booger on the curtain, it was absolutely disgusting, there was a hair in it and everything. Our jacuzzi was also disgusting, looked like it wasn't cleaned at all, we didn't even end up using it. Food was good, wish there was more a variety, but nonetheless it was still good. The snackbar was good, especially the pizza. The cups at the bars we so dirty, we watched the bar staff just dump the used dirty cups into a bucket of soapy water then rinse it. The activities were great, loved the entertainment.

Royal Solaris was average as there was limited dining, the food options were the same daily, the kid’s club was under construction, and the activities weren’t as engaging. The time share personnel was pushy, behind us every time they saw us, and made us feel uncomfortable. The personnel at the front desk were unprofessional (they wanted to charge us twice, rude). We were pressured to participate in a collective presentation that lasted 3 hours when they initially said it would be 90 minutes. We declined the offer at least four times and had to justify our decision. The best part were the cooks, servers, and bartenders.

Very poor choice of food selection compared to other resorts in the area we have visited. Further a lot of the facilities were closed regularly. The kids club was closed 3 out of the 5 days we were there. Other facilities failed to open on time regularly as well. Additionally the entertainment at night was very sub par compared to other resorts in the area.

Giovani at the pool bar is none other. He knows your drinks from day one. Hector in the dining room gave impeccable service. I forget the name in the main bar, but he always had champagne for dinner ready This place truly is spotless. The views incredible.

This was my second time in Royal Solaris. My first stay was in 2018, we loved the place. This time, we wanted to go to the same place but we weren't happy with the service at all. Some of the staffs are really mean. We had lots of experiences that they kept my 2 years old waiting in the line for a service like food or a juice EVEN when it was our turn. To them the priority goes either to the members, to Spanish speaking's or to whoever pays more tip. On several occasions staff including the front desk gave me wrong information, caused me to lose an event. Like when on Halloween day, I asked them if they have any special activity for this day. The front desk lady said we only have something at 11 near the pool. Later I found the poster for Halloween day which included multiple activities the whole day. The same night in the theater I asked another staff who was part of the show, if that night, after the custom contest they have any dance? she said not in the theater but we will gather near the pool for dancing. We went back to our room and 30 mins later while I was putting my little one to bed, my husband went to the theater again finding out there was an interesting dance in the theater and there was nothing going on around the pool that night, so you tell me are they just not smart enough for the job or do they do it intentionally? Next time I go Cancun, for sure Royal Solaris is not my choice. If you have kids, I strongly discourage you to go to this place. Not kid friendly

I think the one thing about this is that upon arrival we had to pay a $5 fee for everyday stayed and for an all Inclusive I would’ve assumed that it would’ve been included in the price. That would be the only thing that would’ve been appreciated to know upon arrival .
