The hotel, restaurant and bar were all fantastic the only issue we had was the amount of construction around the hotel and the closed roads that come along with it that is well out of the hotel’s control.

While the hotel staff were extremely helpful polite and lovely, the area wasn't as convenient to get to areas to see points of interest. We walked for quite a while searching for the hop on and off bus that we bought tickets for snd we were looking for the number 9 stop and never found or used the tickets. We found the west end area and stayed there. We stayed only 2 nites there so never got to the shopping area.So try to map out your day trips.

There is a great deal of construction in the entire area. Didn’t interfere however not pretty to look at. Great location. Excellent restaurant and bar. Staff was superb. First hotel where I heard absolutely no noise especially when I was in my room. Heard no noise from the hallway, the elevator nor the street. The on and off bus was terrific and convenient. The taxi was great too. Definitely stay at another Dakota hotel if the others are as good as Glasgow.

The hotel is very attractive inside. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Very new so clean and in excellent shape. Decor was chic. Only reason for less than 5stars is that there was construction and the roads were torn up surrounding the property. View out window was another multistory new construction and lots of machinery. Didn’t feel like the location was in the heart of cute restaurants but a 10 minute walk gets you into that area. Also, be advised the lighting is VERY low. Obviously intentional to give a swanky vibe but somewhat overkill on low lighting. Very comfortable room and had everything we needed.

The front desk staff was so lovely and accommodating when we arrived much later than planned after a long travel day. They gave great suggestions for a late night spot! We always have a great time here. Restarting is a tad noisy but delicious, and the porridge at breakfast is to die for. Quiet, stylish and you can tell the effort that is put into having friendly & helpful staff.

Lovely hotel. The staff were extremely helpful. The room was spotless. Only complaint is that our room overlooked the back of the hotel which was quite noisy in the early morning when bins got emptied. Otherwise perfect stay!

Hotel is great with fantastic rooms and attentive staff. Food is great quality with a good choice and drinks are made professionally. Down side are the works around the hotel and outlook is not great.
