It was a good home base for old town Edinburgh. The floors creaked when the neighboring room came home, there was no natural light (one very small window that didn’t open and had an opaque film over it), and occasionally people would be smoking/emptying out recycling under our window… but, it’s a very old town and you have to just kind of embrace it. Still gave a 4 star because we loved the town and this hotel was a good value for the price.

This hotel is on the edge of old town and is easily accessible to the royal mile, the grassmarket, Princes Street garden, Waverly station, and tons of shopping and restaurants and pubs.

Fantastic location and service.
Fantastic location opposite Waverley station. Great service from all members of staff. Room (363) very small with no view, however, it was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast expensive for continental, no hot option. Weatherspoons across the road for a cheaper option.
