I was a little nervous staying here because of the negative reviews, but took a shot anyway and I’m so glad I did. Our stay at the Bostonian was wonderful, and we couldn’t have asked for a better location. It’s not a brand new hotel, but it never claimed to be. This hotel is much like the rest of Boston, historical and charming. You can’t beat the location, and every member of the staff here was great. Highly recommend.

Location! Location! Location!
While the price seemed a bit over my comfort zone, it was worth every penny! The central location made everything in Boston walkable, so no Uber needed. The Boston market, Faneuil Hall, and Quincy Market were just across the street with any kind of food, drink, or entertainment you could imagine. The Freedom trail begins just down the road and we could see the Old State House from our window. If we come back, we will stay here again.
