Excellent location close to all the major attractions Pleasantly surprised to get a complimentary room upgrade at check-in Staff were friendly and helpful to ensure our stay was comfortable This hotel is old, but most of the facilities are upgraded. Recommend to stay here for the safe, scenic and walkable area.

A very convenient and beautiful hotel to stay at while in Victoria. It’s close to restaurants, shopping, harbour and the museum. The staff was great and the room was very nice. Afternoon Tea was delicious.

Loved The Empress. Truly a delightful experience. Staff were amazing, customer service out of this world. Loved the Q Bar and the High Tea. You get what to pi pay for, that's for sure! Only suggestions are they don't have good storage in bathrooms, not a good use of space. Also, limited tv. Movies are only for purchase, and $24.99 a movie. They should have a free movie channel with older movies.

Visited this hotel for my wife's 40th the staff, food and accommodations were prefect! We loved the king room the bed was very comfortable. The lounge is the prefect place to just sit and slow down, big thanks to Jordan our bar tender while we were there, fantastic service. High tea is defiantly worth a visit while you are there.

The grounds of the Empress are beautiful, the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the food is wonderful, and the ambiance of the whole building sets the mood. We absolutely loved visiting the Empress for our 10th anniversary.
