Highly recommend....
We stayed here for an overnight stay prior to a hospital appointment. It was excellent in all aspects. The room was spotless, fresh and inviting. It was ideally situated, easy to find and parking available. Comfortable bed and lovely crisp bedding all added to the experience. We had a delicious breakfast....I would highly recommend and we will certainly be back.

Great little find
What a lovely little find and with a bus service to Edinburgh centre right outside the front door. Very very comfy bed , slept better than i had in weeks. Lovely couple that run the B&B . At first i thought the bathroom was very small but considering the size of the property i thought it was great use of a small space. Didnt have breakfast as i was out early both days. Highly recommend and if i have to come back to the city i may just book again.

Weekend in Edinburgh
The Alpha Guest House was our base for a family birthday weekend in Edinburgh and the owners were wonderful in all aspects of the stay. From our arrival through to our departure after a great breakfast could not be faulted! I would definitely come back as the location, value for money and quality of the Guest House was excellent.

Great place in Edinburgh
Alpha Guest House was a great base for us in Edinburgh. Outside the city centre, hence quiet but easy to get to and from the centre by bus. Just remember to either pre-purchase your bus tickets or have the exact fare (as they do not give change on the buses). Our host was lovely and even made use a "take-away" breakfast for the morning when we did a bus trip and had an early start. Will stay again when next in Edinburgh.

Convenient bus stop to town
The Alpha guest house is actually Aaron's lodge, a3min drive away. Our double bed ensuite room is quite small with no room for large luggages. Beside from the room size, the owners were very nice and allows us to park for the day we checked out to tour Edinburgh old town center, which is definitely not a place you want to drive. There is a bus stop right in front of the lodge . Number 33,49 and 8 takes you to town center.

Lovely hotel in lovely area
We were just staying for a couple of nights as we wanted to go to the Registry Office to look into our family tree. I spotted this accommodation online and it seemed to have a good write up so I went ahead and booked it. The good write up was definitely right as we had a lovely couple of days. The room was lovely and our hosts ( Louis and Ada ) were really nice. The breakfast was first class and plenty of it. We would definitely recommend The Alpha Guest House and if we were through to Edinburgh again we know where we will be staying again.
