Sadly I had to stay at this hotel under sad circumstances as my father had taken ill in Inverness. The staff at the hotel were phenomenally kind. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The room was beautiful and spacious. The fantastically kind lady in reception went above and beyondā€¦ even brought me a cafetiĆØre of fresh coffee when our in room cafeteria was found to be broken. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice location that offers free parking. Large parking area which was nice during the busy August season. I liked that they offered a whiskey drink on arrival! We liked the privacy of being in another wing, however I was thinking we had a private garden view on the ground level. Room was on the second floor with view of the golf course and roadway, but weather was cold so we could not be outside sitting on chairs anyway. Not quite what was pictured on Expedia site. We were pleased with the generous breakfast buffet. I liked the coffee and tea service in the room with daily cookies replenished. The Kingsmill extension is not connected to the hotel and is located across the parking area so you need to walk over to the main building to use the pool/spa. I liked that I could use the steam room after a long day. Spa and pool were nice too. They have a funny policy of charging for pool/spa towels and so to avoid extra cost you need to bring your towel from the room. Seems unnecessary to charge $1 for towel. We would stay again, but next time I think I would like to be in the main building with easy access to the pool area.

Ideal for a weekend break
Had a nice enough stay, only thing was 2 out of 3 nights our meals in the Hotel were not that fantastic. Staff are so lovely, the suite was nice and the lounge area is nice to sit and relax. We felt however that the Hotel was more interested in the 2 American tour buses groups and we felt the quality of our meals were nothing great. Still a lovely hotel but eating out was so much better.

Brilliant breakfast, comfortable beds, lovely staff members, easy parking, convenient location and spacious room. The pricing is on the higher end but it's justifiable for the comfort of the stay. The spa facilities might be slightly overrated as it's small and with a few more guests it becomes uncomfortable. Would stay again if a deal becomes available to lower the price of stay. :)

2 Day Break
Was a comfortable hotel. Stayed in a Garden Room. Very quiet and peaceful with nice terrace and view of gardens. Pleasant staff. Parking was good.
