For the price of the room it was a bit run down especially the bathroom. Overall the hotel is becoming a bit dated.

I pretty much liked everything about this property minus one thing and its the most important attribute, the beds. The beds were so soft my back was killing my after my first night. We stayed for only 2 night and I couldn't stay for any longer. I'm not sure if they have a firmer bed mattress available. Rooms and bathrooms could also use a bit of a refresher, everything is a bit out of date.

They informed me, on arrival, that my bags would be transported to the cruise ship. All I had to do was leave my bags in the room, when I checked out. Which I did, and informed the hotel. However, later that afternoon, when I was on the ship and could not leave, I got a call from the hotel that my bags were still in the room. It seems I had to bring the bags down to the room captain, which I had not been informed about. However, they rectified the situation and got the bags to my cabin.

Our stay had some great aspects but also areas for improvement. Parking was easy, and we loved the convenience of texting the concierge from our club room—they were kind and quick to respond. Early check-in was offered, and the front desk staff were very welcoming. The lobby, while clean, looked a bit dated, and this carried over into other areas. Our room initially looked nice, but we noticed water damage on the window ledge and baseboard, plus the shower handle fell off during use. On the bright side, they surprised us with a piece of cake for my partner’s birthday, and the nightly turndown service with chocolates and a weather forecast was a lovely touch. The club room experience was okay—friendly staff and nice service, but alcohol is no longer included, and some food items like charcuterie meats and breakfast waffles were less than fresh. The spa felt outdated, and prices seemed high, especially since amenities like steam and complimentary drinks were no longer provided. Spa staff, however, were very pleasant. While management offered us a $100 discount for the issues, it appears we were charged full price. Overall, the staff and special touches were appreciated, but some updates and attention to detail would really improve the experience.
