I like their spacious suite. It is very convenient to have a washer and dryer inside the room. The pool was nice and clean. It will be great to have a hot tub. I stayed in a suite next to the elevator well. It was convenient but a little noisy because of the mechanical noise coming from the operation of the elevators.

The property is walkable to events, shops, restaurants and Ottawa River. My room had the basic necessities including a kitchen, pull out sofa and washer/dryer. Thanks to Kevin, the Front Office Manager who tried to assist with a clothing mishap with an iron. Check-in and check-out were seemless.

Stayed one night with family for spa visit. Parking garage was dangerous. On entry we were to merge into one lane on a corner before going up a ramp. Merging into one lane on blind areas was continuous practice within the building. No staff on site. Told on check-in we needed to pay$33. Not aware of that prior. In room, when 2 hairdryers were used at the same time, we lost power in part of the suite. We tried to call the front desk only to find one phone didn’t work at all, the other had been unplugged and the when plugged in, no volume. Had we a fire or anything critical, we would have had no way to get emergency help. I went to the front desk to report this. Staff responded immediately however they clearly were familiar with these problems. We stayed here years ago but clearly the property has not been maintained and we will not come back. We saw another person in a pick-up and an SUV struggle with parking. We will not be back.

This hotel is really great, they also allow dogs which is awesome and it’s very clean and comfortable. The staff is attentive and friendly and the hotel is situated in a great downtown location close to everything. The area does have allot of drug addicts unfortunately but that’s not something they can control. I’ve stayed here before and will stay again.

Generally, the hotel and room were acceptable and I would stay there again. The only concerns were the condition of the room’s carpet which appeared requiring major cleaning and the weekend noise from the street and bars (unavoidable for this area) but bearable. Otherwise, reception staff were very courteous and helpful, paid parking was good, housekeeping was excellent, and safety/security were not an issue. Access to Rideau Centre, Byward Market and surrounding restaurants, Parliament and other tourist sites were excellent.

Whatever you do don't stay at this sketchy place
Perhaps I've been spoiled by every other hotel in Ottawa, but this was just terrible. My non-competitively priced suite on the second floor was like a movie set depicting a sketchy roadside motel - it had disgusting stained greige carpeting and a squeaky sofa, smelled like years of old cigarette smoke, and was lit by ghastly neon and CFL lighting throughout. At 7:30 am both mornings carts started rolling overhead, I think the room is under some kind of laundry facility or workshop. The neighborhood is also unfortunately not the safest.

Les Suites entrance was under construction. Dust and noisy (tile installation). Rug floor was very dirty and greasy. We didn’t have enough towels. People working in the lobby were polite. If we had known that it was so dirty and noisy, we wouldn’t have booked a room at “Les Suites”. Not impressed !
