Hotels with Suites in Playa del Carmen

Grand Riviera Princess is a large facility. Visitors have many options for how to spend their day. You can head onto the beach and lounge under your palapa next to the snack and drink hut. Or you can enjoy the more sheltered and calm pools spread throughout the beautiful tropical gardens which are well maintained and even populated by a variety of small wildlife critters incuding even small deer! The grounds are a tropical paradise to return to after a day trip nearby Playa Del Carmen. (You will probably wonder why you ever left the resort in the first place!) Hobie Cats are available and included and the staff are very nice. Typical all-inclusive buffets have something for everyone. No waiting, walk in and enjoy. Several A la Carte dining rooms offer a next level break from the buffets. Quiet atmosphere with very friendly servers. French, Italian, Mexican and Asian themes do a pretty fair job serving up something different. The nightly shows in the big auditorium were an awesome finish for us every night. This property is 42 years old and you can see this if you look for it but so far Princess has done a good job maintaining this sprawling property. Spend a few thousand dollars more at Secrets if you really want shiny and new. My wife loved this place. The water is amazing and the beach goes on forever with lots to see. There is a real family vibe with grandparents and grand kids having the time of their lives. Also a big noisy party pool if you are so inclined.

So awesome that all of the parks were included in the hotel stay! Actually wish we spent more days at the resort, relaxing, such a beautiful property!

We had a great vacation at Occidental at Xcaret. We loved the jungle atmosphere around the resort with all sorts of wildlife, like monkeys and iguanas. Our room was comfy and a good retreat when we needed a rest. The pools were nice and the beach was great for snorkeling. Would definitely recommend this resort and would return again.
