First time at this property, 5th time in Mexico and 2nd time at a Riu Resort (Ocho Rios). The property was beautiful, well laid out and maintained. It was spotless! Check-in was easy and our rooms were ready a couple hours early. The rooms were fresh, clean, no smells and the air conditioning worked perfectly. There is a tub in the middle of the room; weird but it made for a good clothes hanger! The beach and pool were perfect. Chair hogs around the pool but plenty of loungers on the beach. Restaurants were good and did not require reservations. The buffet was good to great. Italian restaurant was OK. The steakhouse/lunch restaurant was very good. The bar grill Pepe food was poor. Drinks from the bar were great, the coffee bar in the lobby was amazing. There is a convenience store under the lobby in the parking lot. You can golf at Hard Rock across the street for a discount. BRING LOTS OF BALLS! Great hotel and Riu overall is consistent in quality.

One thing that I didn’t like was the smell in the closet. My clothes smelled terrible. If they open the window a little it would be good to change the air in the room and use anything to take the smell of the moist in the room.

Great hotel. Really clean, staff is very friendly, and the beach is beautiful. If I had to choose something to improve, it would be the food maybe. It's good, but there aren't many dining options. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

The staff is so friendly and amazing. Everyone was good about making sure we were having a good time. You can customize things like your requests to the mini bar as well. That was so helpful and made such a positive impact on our trip. Definitely enjoyed our stay!

It is a nice resort with nice and friendly service. The only complaint is the food. Good variety but lack of taste unfortunately. All specialty restaurants are worse than the buffet. Entertainment is ok.
