We were given the wrong code for the lock box so had to ring after hours to get access. The lay out of the room is very strange and the bathroom was not clean with mold in the shower and the walls awful. Also very noisy, could here the room next to us showering and people's conversations in the corridor. Would not stay here again.

Missed check-in due to ferry delay, security had to help me retrieve key because didn't get any instructions from hotel. Little bathroom counter or desk space in room so had to pull things in/out of suitcase. Adequate kitchen counter space. Their compendium didn't really explain how to use digital oven or laundry machine, so had a few problems cooking. Cleaning missed corners of shower, little or no vacuuming before or during stay. Inadequate soundproofing from outside streets or between rooms. Comfortable bed & bedding. Toiletries really strip your skin and hair, no moisturizer provided.

Covenient and well-appointed
I have stayed here before, so knew that there was only a QR code room guide but as my wife was with me and she has a smartphone that was fine. The hotel is very convenient for Te papa and Takina, which is where we were going - to see the Dr Who Exhibition - just a 10 minute walk away. Traffic noise was very noticeable until about 10pm, when it seemd to quieten down and we had a very good night's sleep. Check-in and morning staff were very friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed, microwave, kettle, crockery & cutlery, fridge (with the tiny cartons of real milk not UHT), tea, coffee and hot chocolate, good WiFi and good TV channel choice plus a washing machine and dryer.

Great reception staff, very friendly and helpful. Well organised out of hours key collection. Location great for walking to eateries and airport bus. Room comfortable with good aircon. Laundry facilities in room were ideal. Only small thing that I would change - can't see the tv from the bed.
