The beach was amazing. The property was smaller with only one pool. Food was good but would have liked to see more choices. We paid for our upgrade and weren’t offered a free upgrade. Had preferred status but didn’t really need those benefits as we didn’t use the beach section which was smaller and only went to the restaurant once. Overall glad we tried Secrets but not sure we will be returning to this hotel.

We booked the Preferred Junior Suit swim out and it was a good choice. Fyi, booking preferred will grant you entrance to the Preferred Beach Club as well as hydrotherapy, sauna and steam room (just make a reservation) for free. Anyway, the resort was world class. The restaurants were gourmet and the night entertainments are great. We watched the Fire dance, Violin/guitar instrumental, Boogie and Jersey Boys entertainment. Our room was cleaned everyday including daily change of sheets and towels. All staff were courteous and respectful. Customer service was unbelievable and they are all there to please. It was a perfect getaway for me and my husband to celebrate life and experience the finer things in life. Highly recommend this place!

property was clean, if you want quiet it is quiet (too quiet for us). I would avoid the membership sales pitch (said 90 minutes & took 3 hrs, and the spa certificates they give are for individual treatments when if you do the regular packages it is cheaper without certificates) and as far as the spa i would say ok, we have done a lot of spas all around the world and it would be the bottom of my list and extremely over priced for the quality of treatments, food was pretty good for an all inclusive, beach was beautiful and kept pretty clean of seaweeds, service was pretty good (except for a run in we had with a Paula). it is a pretty. nice and clean place.

We had the best honeymoon ever! Miguel our concierge at room 2411 was incredible. He was always smiling and eager to attend to our needs. The room service was always fast, hot and delicious. The bartenders poured great cocktails and didn't cheap out on the liquor or give us gut rot quality. The front desk and Hans were very welcoming during our checkin and arrival process which can sometimes be like buying a new car at the Ford dealership. The valet and bellmen were so sweet and kind and always had me laughing. I would say the greatest attribute of Secrets Maroma is the staff. Without a doubt the best service so far in Mexico. They get 5-Stars and 5-Diamonds from me. We will return again next year and we can't wait to see everyone again.

We had a pleasant stay at this resort, with the beautiful Maroma beach being the highlight, especially with the direct access from the resort. The resort is generally decent, but our initial impression was marred by a messy pool and beach area with towels scattered everywhere, which detracted from the welcoming atmosphere. Although the staff worked to keep things clean, we just caught it at a bad moment. As the days passed, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, relaxing by the beach, and the evening entertainment, though the magic show was underwhelming. The daytime performances, like the Brazilian dancers, were enjoyable. The food was good but nothing extraordinary; we've stayed at other resorts where the dining experiences were more memorable. If you’re looking to relax on a stunning beach, this resort is a great option. However, if you’re seeking an upscale experience with exceptional dining and drinks, you might want to consider other boutique options. We were also disappointed by the high wine prices, with basic bottles costing far more than usual. On the bright side, splurging on a Cabaña bed by the beach was worth it—the service was fantastic, and it provided a private area on one of the most beautiful beaches. Overall, I’d rate the resort an 8 out of 10.
