2 night encore stay
2 night stay on the 63rd floor of the Encore hotel was a bit special. I did expect to give this 5 stars as most people we interacted with were super politeful, helpful and fun. However check in there’s always the upsell to navigate (after a long drive or flight) we know the rooms are ready, no need to say they’re not, offer us a discounted suite and then all of a sudden our booked room is ready. I get it, it’s just a sales push. On check out we were charged an extra night valet so had to make them aware of that, which feels strange as we were only staying 2 nights. It was also my partners birthday and I enquired weeks before about whether they could provide a little complimentary gesture, to which I got no reply and when I asked at the desk was told no, which is of course fine, but would think in vegas where everything is massively expensive and drinks are provided for free when you’re gambling, a little something would have been nice. Would I go back, yeh sure, but still that extra little bit of thought around people first rather than policy would have been lovely.
