We recently had a two night stay at Grand Parks. We heard from our guide that they recently changed ownership and affiliation from Four Seasons to the Choice Hotel chain. We were charged in USD at the exchange rate of 1.1 relative to price at check in. We were told that we only get free bottle water and free breakfast for the first night of stay. We were also told that room cleaning would only be done upon request. None of these were communicated to us at reservation or check in. In my many experiences of lodging with the Choice Hotel chain, this is the only time that we felt cheated. If lodging experience is high on your list when visiting the Richmond food scene, avoid this hotel.

Called called in announcing a late arrival due to a tour that we were participating in Vancouver when I arrived they asked me what time I needed to get back to the airport and I told him 7:30 since we were traveling back to United States. They said their 7:30 shuttle was full and they offered a 7:00 shuttle and then made a phone call and found me room on the 7:30 shuttle so I was very pleased with the customer service and th extra half hour of sleep

Well set up for women travellers: hangers for skirts, iron, ironing board, fresh scent. Lovely, quiet room. Front staff was super friendly and accommodating. We were both very impressed. Neighbourhood not too clean but was close to major shopping mall and easy travel.

The restaurant was horrible. We had to go to the front desk to get someone to seat us, then we were seated and never saw the server again. We were the only ones in there at the time and were not even offered a beverage while we looked at the menu. After 25 minutes of no one returning we got up and walked out. The room was never tidied once and we were not given any i formation about the hotel in the room such as local areas to eat, visit, amenities offered by the hotel or that the bottled water in our room was not free. We were also told to make a reservation the night before for the airport shuttle so we did however we were up earlier than expected and wanted to switch to the earlier shuttle that still had room on it but were told no that we were inly allowed on the one we booked. Very disappointed in this hotel and would not recommend it to others.

The staff was very helpful. The room were very clean. The only negative was that a light blub was burned out, the conditioner bottle was empty and the telephone line was broken. All very minor stuff that can be easily fixed.
