Easy check-in process, i will say the building is a little confusing and gives the Shining vibes, but honestly that is what makes it cool, it is June 27th and it was easy to walk to food destinations from the hotel, this hotel is actually in a very good location to many dining options, where a car is not really necessary. Love it here, would definitely stay again, because the hotel itself is...vintage, old school feels. And they do have a pretty awesome pool.

The hotel is located in downtown Springfield. At night, the view is beautiful . However I had to be moved to another room room due to mildew smell. The front desk clerk was extremely nice. She moved me to another room right away.

The location was perfect for us. We could walk to Lincoln sites, several house tours, restaurants, Musicfest, Highland games, etc. we had a wonderful four days in Springfield. The Wyndham is dated, but the nightly fee was less than others in the area. However, the fire alarm went off Friday morning at 6:30am. We were actually showered and ready for the day. We had just gotten back to our room with Starbucks. We were on the 27th floor, so we had to walk 27 flights to the lobby. Eventually, we were able to go back to our room to find water streaming out of one of the recessed light fixtures. We both needed showers but they didn't have another room. No hot/warm water for showers. I am sure we will talk about this memorable event (which happened on our anniversary). They never apologized or explained what happened. The communication was poor (nonexistent) at best.

I have stayed here before and I will again. My grandson enjoyed the pool. We both enjoyed the view and the sunsets from the 26th floor. Comfy bed. Clean room. Bring a fan if you like a cooler temp for sleeping. Katrina at the front dest is an angel. Starbucks is in the lobby. So many Lincoln activities to walk to. Also walk to shops and eateries.

Don’t do it! Listen to the negative reviews
Do not stay here. The housekeepers DO NOT change the sheets. I know because I’m a former housekeeper. I got some fresh sheets in an attempt to remake the bed when I stripped the sheets off there was a nasty yellow stain on the mattress protector. It also seemed no surfaces had been wiped in the entire room and it looked as if there was an attempt to “clean” the bathroom but it was definitely not clean. And the toilet seat did not fit the toilet it was on! We were so uncomfortable we left with no refund. I should have listened to the reviews. Carpet worn all throughout the hotel, bad smell especially in the room itself. Don’t do it. I should’ve taken photos.

There was no air conditioning throughout the hotel except in the room all the ice and soda machines was empty I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone
