Great Rental!
We really enjoyed our stay! The house had all the comforts of home, was spotlessly clean, was in a very convenient location.The kitchen was well-stocked, and the deck had a lovely view. We would definitely stay there again!

Fun weekend with family!
The house was the perfect place for our two families to stay. With the game room, upstairs deck and lower level hang out space there was room for the kids to spend time together playing games and for the adults to talk and enjoy the beautiful views. The house had everything we needed. The town of Black Mountain was a pleasant surprise with many delicious restaurants and fun shops. We enjoyed a quick drive to Chimney Rock State Park and indulged in just a few of the breweries in the area. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the Black Mountain area.

This property was exactly as described and more! Plenty of beds for our entire family and they were very comfortable! We enjoyed having two separate living spaces, great if you have children! My only disappointment was that I didn’t see any bears!!

Home Away From Home
We have stayed in this home before, and we enjoyed it even more this time. We come for a debate tournament with 4 older kids. We need to be able to sleep well and get ready fast in the mornings. We have never lacked anything during our stays. Beds are cozy, house is clean, everything well stocked, beautiful property, so much wonderful hiking in the area, amazing restaurants. We have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, and this is one of our very favorites. We look forward to coming back next year.

Great gathering place for family
The property is located close to Black Mountain for shopping and dining but far enough out of town to enjoy being surrounded by nature. Spacious home with large family room/dining/kitchen perfect for our family to gather together around the fireplace with wonderful views of the mountains. Beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed.

Anniversary Getaway
I booked this lovely cabin for my parents 50th anniversary. Their wish was a getaway in the mountains with their family. This cabin was absolutely perfect! The view is gorgeous! The room set up fit us perfectly. 2 couples with their own room and then we shared the large room that had a Queen bed and twins with our kids. There are plenty of games downstairs for a rainy day. Our kid’s favorite was the arcade game. We also enjoyed evenings outside around the firepit. If you have a large family or need a cabin for a few couples and kids, this is perfect.

Great Black Mountain House
House is very clean and comfortable. It’s easy to access but tucked away in the woods and quiet. Very quick drive to Ingles for groceries as well as into downtown Black Mountain for drinks and dining. Excellent communication with owners / property managers. Wonderful experience.

Feels like HOME!
We were in town for a speech and debate tournament with a little sightseeing on either end. The location of this home is perfect - feels remote but close to the freeway. The views were beautiful. The home had everything we needed and then some. We used every bed, and they were all extremely comfortable. Everything was very clean and worked well. The host was extremely friendly and always responded immediately. We stay in rentals often because of our large family and dogs, and this was one of our best experiences. We will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was exceptionally clean and stocked with necessities. We were welcomed and kept in touch with before, during, and after our trip. We loved being able to grill on the deck and settle in by the cozy fire at night. The surrounding area was beautiful with great grocery stores and restaurants, along with downtown shops in Black Mountain.

Black Mountain Fun
The owner Cheryl, was a pleasure to work with. The property was clean, comfortable and even nicer than pictured. It’s private and secluded but just a 2-3 minute drive to the charming town of Black Mountain. Try Black Mountain Bistro for the best pork chop you’ll ever have, Ole Guacamole for a choriqueso burrito, the ‘manzo’ from My Father’s Pizza, breakfast at Red Rocker Inn and biscuits at Blue Ridge Biscuit Company and finally, the chocolate toasted coconut ice cream at Kilwin’s. It’s a 15-20 minute drive to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Evenings were spent around the fire pit, stargazing or playing games. We had a delightful time and hope to return in the spring to see the rhododendrons and mountain laurel in bloom.

We plan to return!
This house is great! The location is perfect - close enough to I-40 that it is an easy drive but far enough away that there is no road noise. Close to Black Mountain which is a very charming village, and close enough to Asheville for an easy drive in. The house is roomy enough for a group to have multiple spaces for visiting: upstairs den, downstairs playroom and lovely deck. We also loved gathering in the back yard area for a fire in the fire pit. Beds are comfortable and there is a full bathroom on each level. We plan to meet in the Lodge again soon! I can't say enough good things about the hosts and the property!

Perfect stay in Beautiful Black Mtn!
We loved our stay at Saddle Lodge—cleanest house I’ve ever rented with extra amenities (like s’mores, coffee, and all spices) which was an added bonus! Even though house is only 2 miles from Stores, restaurants, it feel like you are out in the wilderness. We’d love to come again.
