Tranquil Bush Living- on the 'Fringe of Heaven'

Located in an elevated position on the southern end of the Waitakere ranges, this quiet location provides easy access to the many walking tracks in the area. Walk to the Arataki Visitor Centre along a picturesque bush trail, or walk in to Titirangi along the historic pipe line track.

Titirangi village includes cafes, shops and and an art gallery. Good bus and train links throughout Auckland.

West coast beaches are a short 30 mins drive away.

A good sized main bedroom includes one Queen sized bed, side tables, chest of drawers and a wardrobe. The second bedroom includes two single bed with side tables. A third area has two single beds that can be joined to make a king sized bed. This area can be screened off and make room for two more people to sleep.
The dinning area has lovely bush views for you to enjoy.

The kitchenette includes an induction hob, small electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, electric fry pan, good sized fridge and freezer drawer, coffee machine, sandwich maker, toaster and jug. Pots, pans, cutlery, dinnerware, cups, glasses, etc are all included. There are also basic pantry supplies available.

The living area includes a 2 seater sofa , and occasional chairs, coffee table, T.V and stereo.

The bathroom includes a shower, heated towel rail, vanity and washing machine. Towels are also provided.

There is a heat pump in the main bedroom and one located in the main part of the house.

There is a separate toilet.

The house is filled with a large assortment of books for you to enjoy during your stay.

There is an outdoor sitting area with BBQ, for you to enjoy and a trampoline and swings that children are welcome to use.

Beautiful spot
Loved this place. My partner and I stayed here for a month when we were in town with work and would happily have stayed longer. It's a great house in a beautiful spot, very peaceful and private. The house has everything you need and the hosts were very responsive whilst also leaving us to ourselves. There's great walking tracks on the doorstep and overall it is fantastic place to relax and spend time. Hope to be back again!

As soon as we walked into this home we felt relaxed. Lovely decor with everything we needed. So quiet on the edge of the Waitakere ranges. Loved our stay here. Great communication from Jason and Salome...highly recommend this property. Would stay again if in Auckland.

Skye’s Rest
Skye’s Rest is a wonderful place to stay. It isn’t fancy, but it is very clean and very comfortable. It is a bit of a drive from the city, but the forest walks that start right from the door are great. It is quiet, except for bird song, and the occasional car or walkers going up to the trail head and our host, Jason, was extremely helpful with information about the area. We will gladly return there at the earliest opportunity.

Lovely peaceful cottage
This property is in a great location for access to beaches and bushwalks with the Titirangi Village within an easy drive. The outlook is beautiful, onto natural bush. The house was well appointed, had everything we needed, although we found the beds uncomfortable. Overall we had a pleasant stay and found the hosts helpful and nice to deal with.

We really enjoyed our stay, the bach is well equipped to keep the kids fed, happy, warm and occupied. Plenty to do in the immediate area with bush walks and beaches. Great to wake up to a regular native birdsong alarm clock in the tree outside. Will be returning. many thanks to the hosts.

Ideal for my adult daughter and I to stay. Had all the basic requirements and in a lovely location with native bush and birds. Owners let us do our own thing but nice to have security that they were there if we should need them. Very easy to deal with. Thanks for letting us use the accommodation.

Great location, and just a short drive to visit family in the area. house was perfect for our needs and the air conditioning was a life saver in the summer heat. Kids loved the swing, trampoline and air hockey table available.

What a quaint little place to stay at!! Our hostess were lovely and very helpful with our booking process! We were very excited that we found a few cashes along the hiking trail as we are avid geo cashers!! Even though our stay had rain everyday we made the best of our outings out and around the area! Piha beach was fabulous even though we had a slightly rainy day, still was able to get our toes wet. It was lovely to see all the christmas lights, Christmas at the crossing display was absolutely beautiful!! Coming from a snowy Canadian winter to a summer New Zealand christmas has been an amazing experience!!! Thank you Salomé & Jason

A beautiful spot
This place is wonderful, even in the winter. The scenery is great, especially as clouds roll in and out with the rain. The sun room overlooking the back has a great view with a lot of afternoon sun. The air hockey table was my 6yo's favorite feature. We played at least an hour a day. The home is equipped with two split-units, one in the dining room where it easily heated it, the kitchen, and the living room, and one in the master bedroom which kept us comfy and cozy at night. Even though this place looks like it's off in the sticks, it's a very short drive into "downtown" Titirangi which has everything you'd need. The roads connecting this place to town are wonderfully windy and smooth, with some great views breaking out between the houses and growth. It's also not too far from the Auckland CBD or Piha beach. We drove all around the Auckland metro area from here. We would happily stay here again.
