Would have been 5 stars but had to wait an hour and 30 minutes to check into our room when check in time was at 4, and we did not walk into our room until 535.

The hotel is visually stunning! We both really loved all of the art and had fun viewing it all on our never ending search for the pool. Fabulous artwork— not enough signage. We had to call a courtesy line 2 different times to ask how to get there from where we were located in the other tower. We were really looking forward to using the hot tub but were told it was temporarily closed— after we got in— because of some potential contamination. Again— no sign, just some poles not really blocking/roping off the entrance to the stairs. The food in the pool bar was mostly good, but I had to ask for some sauce to go with the driest roasted Brussels sprouts. Seemed like the b team was on that evening and maybe weren’t clear on how that dish should be made. It should have been saucier/more flavorful according to the menu description. The next morning we were both hungry for breakfast and looking forward to a nice room service. I called the desk to ask how because there’s no physical menu of any sort in the room. I was told to look for a QR code near a tray on the counter. It was not there. Took another 30 minutes of being told to follow a link that didn’t work and when I finally got to the restaurant’s website as instructed, the menu there wasn’t updated, didn’t have half the things we wanted so we had to be read the selections and decide on the spot. Would’ve hoped for real plates on a nice tray at that price point but it was basically door dash style in plastic containers.

1. It's important to know that this place is not near the downtown. It's in South Boston. It's a 40 minute walk to Fanieul Hall or any historic site. Uber or bus in required to just get to the centre of things. 2. We stayed in the "artists' tower". The rooms are odd. The sink, toilet, and shower are basically in the room. The toilet and shower are just smoked glass cubicles. You step out of the shower directly in the room. Same with the toilet. It's bizarre. If you're alone, it's no doubt fine, but if you are travelling with someone there is no privacy. They are basically in the bathroom with you.
