Large sized magnesium magnapool surrounded by trees and birds. A great fuss-free option for people who would like to relax - in particular those seeking an easy family holiday with children. Walking distance to eating options, or order in! (Or use the well provisioned kitchen!).
The pool is heated and typically sits around 26-30 degrees from September through to May. In June through to August (Queensland "Winter"), a pool temperature of around 22-28 degrees can be obtained for swimming (with assistance of a pool blanket on the pool overnight / when not in use by the guest(s)).
The space
Small, basic and comfortable home with 3 bedrooms and a few bed combinations available:
1 king size bed in BEDROOM ONE,
1 king single bed and 1 single bed in BEDROOM TWO,
2 king single beds (bunk) in BEDROOM THREE.
BEDROOM FOUR is not a separate bedroom - there is an option for larger families to utilise a queen sofa bed and single sofa in the lounge room, and single beds can be added in any of the bedrooms (or alternatively there is a timber cot / toddler bed available which can be set up in the Master Bedroom for families with a young child). Great for larger families with a few extra siblings or an aunt / uncle / grandparent joining your holiday. Please advise an accurate number of guests (and whether you'll need the cot and highchair) when you book, and I'll set up the beds accordingly, otherwise extra beds will not be set up - in particular in the case of the extra single beds or the timber cot). I'm happy if you need to add additional guests to your booking - just let me know more than 24 hours prior to your arrival so we can update the booking and I can set up the bedding accordingly! (and so I can leave enough bathroom towels and pool towels!).
Bathroom access. There is a lovely bathroom in the home, with a large walk-in-shower, toilet and basin. There is also a new bathroom under the home for use, and for private & direct access from the pool area.
The kitchen is well equipped with filtered water tap, cutlery, glassware, crockery, cookware, cooking utensils, including a slow cooker, blender, induction cooktop, steam-assist pyrolytic oven, microwave, large fridge with cold water dispenser, nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, iron, premium dishwasher. There is also a gas BBQ (with side wok burner - great for cooking pancakes on a frypan!) and a wood-fuel firepit with grill/flat plate and utensils (please supply your own kindling, coals, firewood). The kitchen is typically stocked with a basic supply of condiments, spare cooking supplies and basic pantry needs. Culinary supplies may vary from those pictured.

Other things to note
Oxley, Queensland, Australia
Oxley is a south-western suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is located approximately 10 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. It was named after the early Australian explorer John Oxley. The suburb supports a mix of residential, retail and industrial land. The property in question is walking distance to local dining options, shops, a massage therapist, a hotel and bottle shop, Woolworths, Officeworks, and Oxley Bunnings.
I'm a mum of 2 who wanted to create a little oasis in Oxley. Handy to so many conveniences and a short drive to some of Brisbane's most magnificent spots for tourists and locals alike. If you are after a low-key break without the need to travel a long way or share a (n often cold!) pool with every person at a resort, this may be the place for you. Please be aware, whilst a renovated home, it isn't new and modern - it has its old girl charms. This is a home, not a hotel. If you are looking for a pristine resort we are not for you... We hope you understand and thanks! If you're looking for a relaxed getaway for some downtime with low fuss and a lovely private pool, book away!!!
Australia has bugs and native animals, including possums that might visit on the roof or back patio during the evening times, bugs that don't mind heading through an open door or window, and creepy crawlies that exist no matter how clean a home is. This includes those that might find the pool appealing. The property will never be spotless nor creature free, no matter how hard anyone tries...... The property is maintained and cleaned by me, and is always in a state that I'd be happy to stay here (because I sometimes do when vacancies permit!).
