Pool concierge, waitresses/waiters, playmakers, and evening entertainment is the best. Loved the Angel/devil fashion show!! Rooms were immaculate with the most comfortable beds. Food was delicious! The beach was never cleaned of the sargassum and cups/food plates seldom picked up from pool and hot tub area which attracted birds and wildlife creatures. Check in and check out took forever and very dishonest when we were told we could use our Expedia credit and the resort spa credit for our massage then told no when we had to pay our room bill. Last year pants were not required for the Desire restaurant and this year we were made to eat outside with the heat and wild animals, twice.

The staff here is by far the best there is!!! Candice, Bella, Jon, Felix, Juan B, Daniel, Alejandra, hector and Antonio are just a few to note. They treat you like family and truly go out of their way to make you feel special and welcomed.

The vibes, staff and general feeling was great. However, the room building had a filtration and they kept painting and making a mess in the entrance of our room. Besides that it was pretty good.

We had a great time at Desire Resort Pearl celebrating our anniversary. We only got to stay 4 days & 3 nights, but it was a great time to relax, eat great food, enjoy fun cocktails, and enjoy all the activities. The staff was amazing and always willing to help. From the bartenders, wait staff, spa specialists, bellhops, to the concierge, all did a fantastic job. The beach and water were amazing. The pool was clean and a lot of fun on the active side and very relaxing on the quiet side. We’re looking forward to going back at our next opportunity.

This was our 2nd stay at Desire Pearl and they "wowed" us once again. The staff goes above and beyond to get to know us by name, they are extremely attentive and friendly, and they welcome you wholeheartedly into the Desire family. The experience is just what we prefer and have already booked our next visit. This property offers something for everyone. You can enjoy all the "fun" of the quiet side or spend the day by the swim up bar and DJ, playing in couples games with the playmakers.

This was our fist time staying at any of the Desire properties. It is a beautiful resort, very well maintained, wonderful spa with many treatments to choose from. The food in their 3 restaurants was excellent quality, and 2 had daily themes to vary the selection/style cuisine. What made this one of the best vacations ever was the staff. From the first evening, Candice warmly welcomed us and made us feel at home (Konnichiwa). She is also a great singer and MC, so full of life, it's contagious. All the staff was great and called us by name - especially the "playmakers" will hold a special place in our hearts. John was an excellent dance instructor, pool volleyball ref/player, and provided personal service, even lending his sunglasses for volleyball. He was hilarious in his full body costume, as volleyball ref-it's a must see. Sam and Felix were so fun, and made us feel comfortable participating in all the activities, which enriched our vacation tremendously. How often do you get the chance to have a good-looking latin dance partner... We can also highly recommend the Cuban sandwiches, when you know, you know. Alejandra was very sweet and it was a lot of fun to play volleyball with her; the themed evenings would not have been the same without the PMs. All the staff was wonderful, including Isaac (Pearl Rest.), Fernando (Spa), all bartenders, housekeepers, waiters, pool attendants, and DJ's made for the best vacation ever and we miss them already. We will be back!
