Georgeous Hotel in Saigon
Very nice hotel overlooking the river. We like new stuffs, not antique, but this hotel surprised us, and exceeded our expectation. Though it bears the age of 99, it's renovated top to bottom, while keeping the tastefully decorated features, such as the tiny but elegant elevator in the lobby area, the crystal lights so many that wowed us, the swimming pool, the antique-designed bathroom fixtures...etc Strong water pressure of the shower, made us wonder, how could this be from a small antique shower head? One of the most spacious rooms we had rented in HCMC, and the best variety of breakfast choices. Here, you can enjoy the delicious breakfast indoor or outdoor, with the river view as a bonus. All the staff in all departments have been very helpful.

Even though I requested a quiet room on a high floor, I was placed right below the restaurant, where I heard things being moved all afternoon and evening, past midnight and again early in the morning. Fortunately, they moved me to a much better room the next day. The buffet was excellent, with a variety of Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese food, and I could enjoy the view of the river. The gym and pool were relatively small but adequate; free water and bananas in the gym added a nice touch. The rooms were overall ok; but I would not recommend any elderly people or people with limited mobility to stay in these rooms; they would have to climb over a very high tub (or use a stool) without adequate handrails. Overall it should be at best 4 star hotel- in my view.

An excellent hotel on the busy river front. The river front sky bar was awesome! The staff & management went above & beyond when my wife left some valuables behind. Nice location. Decor and condition is clean and grandeur on the outside and lobby. Room conditions are dated. Towels are ragged with threads hanging out of them. Very old towels. Amenities are decent. Room dusty and not well clean. Air conditioning is not adjustable and room is set to warm temperature, not cold at all. Bathroom needs to cleaned better. The room came with a decent breakfast, very bland.
