Good property to stay at if you need a kitchen and laundry facilities. Located on the Royal Mile so convenient to sites. Property was very clean and everything in good repair. Staff was very nice and helpful. I wish there had been a place for us to put our suitcases. Room did not come with even a foldable suitcase rack. Foldable suitcase racks or a small bench at the foot of the beds to host an open suitcase would have been very helpful. There was a wardrobe, but only a few hangers and I ended up using all of those and most of the shelves in the wardrobe for a 10-day stay since I did not want to keep re-opening my suitcase and digging into it. My husband ended up using the tiny desk space for all his things. We also did not have a safe to put our passports in, and the hotel doesn't have one available at the office. There was also no place to put soap, shampoo, etc. in the shower. We had to put that stuff on the rim of the shower on the floor. A small shelf in the shower would have been really helpful, as well as someplace to put extra towels in the bathroom. There was a small countertop above the toilet, but most of the room on that was taken up with toilet paper rolls, Kleenex box, a jar with makeup puffs and complimentary toiletries. No room for clean towels where they were most needed. The space didn't need to be larger, just more thoughtfully designed. Still, we were quite comfortable and would recommend this property to others.

Good location. I went to Edinburgh for the fringe festival and this property was in walking distance to all of the venues. They also provided a lot of items for breakfast which was a nice surprise.

Very clean & quiet, stocked with some groceries (coffee/tea, milk, cereal, bread) & laundry detergent on arrival. Grocery store a few minutes walk away. Windows open only a few inches so with no air conditioning, we had to ask for fans.

Most staff were friendly and seemed to enjoy their job. However, I did not get her name.There was one that was not friendly at all. She seemed to be put off.Any time you had to ask for something. There was no phone in the room to calm down and ask for anything.

Loved having a washer/dryer— although it was a bit finicky to operate. The room was spacious and clean and quiet. The kitchen is quite convenient with a dishwasher as well. This made it a homelike refuge in the city.

I definitely liked the close proximity to so many hot spots in the city. We did find it odd that our room was behind a door in the hallway and then our door and one other room next door was behind it. I am assuming it was to block some of the lobby noise (we were on the ground floor down the hall from the lobby), but it didn't really do much to help that and our neighbors were loud. I also did not like how small the bathtub/shower stall was. It was super narrow and if I were a larger person, I would have had trouble with it. The side of the tub was very high up and was a slipping hazard. It was very difficult to get out of the tub without sliding around and banging your shins! We also had a fire alarm go off in the building and we needed to evacuate the hotel. Luckily, the fire department showed up pretty quick and we were able to return to our rooms in a decent amount of time. We did book this hotel specifically for its location and that it had parking available. Although, it was a tight squeeze to get into the parking spot (we paid an extra 20£ per day for parking). All of the staff we encountered were courteous but some seemed to be unattentive at times. Overall, it was a good experience and we would probably stay there again in the future.
