Just say NO to the Villa's
If you stay in the "Main Hotel Section" it looked to be very nice. We were put in "The Villa's of Imelia Island" They are ran by Omni Hotel but are located all around the the huge property. Out 1 bedroom villa took us almost an hour just to fine it. It shares a pool with 10 other villa's. The pool was never touched the 3 days we were there. The grounds had the same trash laying around for 3 days. The room smelled of mold so bad that we bought air freshner and candles to cover it up. The resteraunts were fine and the Omni Hotel pools were wonderful.

We had an amazing time, but our room was subpar. There was a dead roach on the floor by the bed that scared our daughter, and we had no Internet or television nor did we have a working room phone in the room (room 2320). The television turned on, but because the Internet did not work, we couldnā€™t use it. It was reported to the front desk after check-in when my husband had to go into the lobby bar to find Internet to work while we were out shopping, and we were assured it would be fixed, but it never was. Makes it difficult to entertain the kids while weā€™re getting ready for bed, etc. when they cant watch television or play on their iPads without internet. They was a struggle.

Check-in is tough as the "Villa" check-in location closes often and you must go to the Omni Hotel to check-in. Then they provide a "map" with no road names and no instructions how to reach your unit. Once having figured it out it is easy so better instructions could make the experience better. Also note if you arrive after dark it is impossible to see signage. The unit was clean and comfortable.

Very quiet and beautiful , however the villa I was in was very dated , had plumbing issues in bathroom , light were flickering , iron wasnā€™t working properly,. The little things that just didnā€™t make the stay exceptional . So when I mentioned the issues with clerk I was offered another room but didnā€™t seem like it was comparable to the one I purchased . They wanted to upgrade for a cost . However the grounds were beautiful and staff was friendly . Just wish we didnā€™t have all the small and annoying issues with the villa

What a wonderful place! Itā€™s like staying at a Five star hotel in the jungle on the beach we just loved it! Our room was clean and fresh with a nice partial view of the ocean. The staff, and particularly Deidra at the front desk was phenomenal. We will absolutely be back!

The property was well kept and beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommoding. Anything you asked for appeared within minutes. The shuttle service was great. Beautiful, clean and peaceful setting!

This is my new favorite place to stay in Amelia Island. We were there to attend a wedding in Jacksonville and almost skipped the wedding to just enjoy the entore weekend at th resort. We had the most amazing view. The food is great. We ate at several places and each experience was a pleasure. I did not get to do as much shopping as I wanted but I loved all the shoppes they have on site. Truly an amazing experience
