Affordable place near LAX
Our trip to the Skyways Hotel was fine and brief. It is a clean hotel close to LAX with a very comfortable bed, a clean room, quiet neighbors. We were there for less than 24 hours, before we went on to our week-long holiday in the desert, so it suited our needs just right. The outlets for charging devices are hit-or-miss, which meant that we had to be a little creative at finding an outlet that worked (ie the USB port attached to the bedside lamp is broken). Also, the water pressure in the shower is very weak.

The property was nice. It was decorated nicely and had a welcoming atmosphere. The people who worked there were very friendly and accommodating. We couldnā€™t find any place nearby to eat breakfast that wasnā€™t horribly expensive. The surrounding areas were terribly littered and dirty. We didnā€™t feel safe walking nearby because there seemed to be transient people around especially in the evening. We knew that it would be noisy because we were near the airport but it really wasnā€™t terribly loud.

Ok for the price. Good option for a cheap short transient lodging while waiting for a flight in LAX airport. Nothing to do around.
