The hotel area is really good accessible for everything. But staff confuses us about the free breakfast. We went to president hotel and the staff there said we need to proceed at the other restaurant which is beside the penguin hotel and we went there and the food is really limited. And we ask the fromt and said it should be at the president. We went back and fort cause of the staff are pointing us which we need to go for breakfast.

Big Disaster.
Everything it says on the hotel website was a fake, it was stated that the breakfast and the beach towels comes with hotel fee which was a big lie , even if you have to open your wine bottle you have to go to the other hotel . The room was so tiny that you don't even have enough space to walk . I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit this hotel , it was a big upset .

This property was quiet the check in went smooth I think Carmen was the one who greeted us at check in, very pleasant. They always greeted you when you came back.the sister hotel the Presidente was where everybody went to get the waters and drinks with the vouchers and happy hour. The breakfast was pleasant hot and cold and should satisfy everyone The staff at the presidente hotel was great!!! They made us feel welcome. Special thanks to Ruben for being amazing to us. We didn’t have the chance to use the rooftop pool it poured heavily for a for a bit we would love to stay here again.

Our first time staying at the Penguin Hotel and we would recommend it to anyone wanting a nice place to stay in South Beach. It was conveniently located across from the beach with plenty of restaurants and shopping near by. Always felt safe in the area. Only negative thing was the pool was a little dirty and needs to be cleaned more often. Breakfast and the welcoming drink were great. We would stay here again.

The hotel was very accomadating i checked in a little late and the gave us the opportunity to keep our bags the nexr day after check out at 11 this was really appreciated. The terrace is the best love the location quiet but just 1 min walk you can reach the parties etc

The staff was great. The AC was very noisy. The TV remote wasn't working properly. The terrible noise from the construction next door is extremely disturbing. Every morning starting at 7:45 am. It was very upsetting because in vacation we want to rest. Expedia should advise before booking this hotel until thevend of construction.

Wonderful Art Deco Hotel
I had a very nice stay at this hotel as part of a Miami Vice 40th Anniversary reunion on South Beach. This was one of the hotels captured in scenes in the iconic TV show in the 1980s. My room was comfortable, with a nice bed, desk, and very nice bathroom in what is now really a historic hotel probably build in the 1930s. The breakfast was quite good, and it was served in the hotel just behind it called the President, which also had a rooftop pool area which was nice too. The beach and palm tree park are just across the street. Overall great stay. The only difficulty was the street is closed to traffic, so one cannot just pull up and offload bags. This I found out then I arrived, and I had to pull into the back alley for this. Keep that in mind if you have a car. Otherwise, it was a very nice stay.
