The location is right in the middle of the old-quarter so it's walking distance to the weekend night market (highly recommended) and the lake. The service was amazing. I arrived at 5.30 in the morning (I got the overnight train in from Hue) and they were able to have a room for me as soon as I got there. Jimmi, the Manager, was extremely helpful in helping me organise my trip to Ha Long bay as well as giving me some tips on what to see and do in the old quarter. The room was spacious, air conditioned and had a big bathroom.

I had a great stay at this hotel in Hanoi. Staff was superb. I especially want to thank Jenny who helped enormously when contacted about a Visa issue for getting into Vietnam, she was super helpful in resolving this stressful situation. Lovely clean rooms with super comfy pillows and beds including free wifi and cooked breakfasts. Staff here were amazing and so helpful! We had been experiencing problems booking flights online and they offered to book them for us (no extra charge). So easy! Helped us with everything from a last minute room booking to even crossing the busy street :-). Will definitely stay here again.

Great find in Hanoi! The Royal Palace Hotel has an excellent location, 5-7 min walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and so many good restaurants in the Old Quarter. The staff is very professional, but also very friendly with excellent English language skills. The breakfast was very tasty with both Asian and Western selections, also one of the best iced coffees. The rooms were modern and very clean. We will definitely stay at Royal Palace our next time in Hanoi.

Glad to have chosen this hotel for my Hanoi stay! The location is excellent: minutes away from the old quarter, the bustling area near Hoàn Kiếm Lake, St Joseph's cathedral, and much more. The room was also great, clean, modern and spacious. Room service was fast and really delicious. The Concierge team immediately provided suggestions of places to visit (and a paper map, which is rare to find nowadays!) and where to eat. Additionally, they provide affordable and secure hotel-airport transfers. The check-out was smooth and the staff so helpful and understanding. Overall, a great hotel and service!

We had a pleasant stay. Jimmy and team were extremely hospitable and made us feel at home. They helped us with a map of the area and gave some great suggestions to spend a lovely evening at Hanoi. The location of the hotel also makes it super easy to access all the must visit spots. I recommend the hotel.

Very very basic property with small size rooms even if you book Family Premium rooms. Limited breakfast options with respect to the price of the rooms. Staff was very polite and courteous though. You cannot open even your luggage bag as there is no visible flooring and bathrooms are even smaller.

Absolutely loved staying here. We left some luggage a few days prior to check in as we went on a cruise to Halong Bay. We were given their welcome drink on this day even though we weren't checking in which I thought was nice. The welcome drink was the best we had in Viet Nam. All front of house staff exceeded our expectation, they make the stay so much more enjoyable. Our 18month old loved playing with all of them. Very knowledgeable staff with great English speaking skills too. We stayed in the Junior suite on the 4rd floor. Didn't hear any outside noise at night and was very spacious. The breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from and ability to make your own caphe sua da's. Great location with a fresh fruit juice shop straight across the road, laundry next door and coffee across the road too. The food from the restaurant diagonally across the road is great too. I'd love to go back to Hanoi just to say hello to everyone and so our son can say hello to his new friends too. 10/10.

Husband and I stayed at Hanoi Royal palace for a stopover during our belated honeymoon trip in late December 2024. The staff at Royal palace were very welcoming and helpful despite our short stay. Even prepared a sweet surprise for our stay :) Jimmy, the front office manager, was particularly cheerful and warm - he recommended activities for our day and also saw that our needs were met, e.g. our laundry, our transfer arrangements for the next leg of our trip. We stayed in a junior suite, and the room and facilities were clean and comfortable.

We were upgraded to a beautiful Bcony suite without extra charge. Jenny at the front desk was incredibly helpful in making sure we were comfortable and she also helped us book a walking tour and a sleeper bus to Ha Giang. The food was excellent at the hotel restaurant and the breakfast buffet was well-supplied! The bed was so comfortable and the staff were so helpful. We loved our stay here

The hotel is located near the fringe of old quarters, around 10 mins walk to beer street. Has good food and drinks options around the place but the hotel itself is small, room condition is bad and lack of any facilities. I am not sure how this is rated as a 4 stars hotel, I personally feel that this is closer to a motel. Other than that,the staffs are pretty helpful, 24 hours desk and lower road noise compared to the other hotels I stayed in near beer street

We booked a stay for 4 nights the week before Christmas. However we checked out early after 2 nights to shift to a better hotel for the rest of our stay in Hanoi. This was the first time we had ever done so. Pros: - Good location in Old Quarter. Easy access to sights and eateries - Service staff were friendly and courteous Cons: The room was very different from what we expected. On its website it claims to be a 4-star hotel that opened in 2019 and there were many good reviews so that's where we started off expectation-wise. As some have mentioned, there were - No tables & chairs in the room, so a lot of things stayed in the suitcases or went on the bed - Power plugs were all near ground level, so charging your devices was always challenging - Erratic hot water. Sometimes there would be no hot water. At other times, I could literally see steam coming out. - Cleanliness. Many plates were dirty when we went for the hotel breakfast. Also the dining room was too small to support the capacity of the hotel. All this was affecting our enjoyment in Hanoi. If it were just an issue with the room then we could have changed a room. But from the other reviews we saw, it appears that the issues were occurring across the entire hotel so we decided to check out and stay elsewhere instead. As for the multiple good reviews, some have feedback that their critical reviews have been removed. Also there are many reviews with low review count. So please beware.

This hotel is located the downtown area and having good access to the lake. All of hotel staffs are FRIENDLY and GENTLE for users and hotel rooms are so beautiful and clean. Receptionist recommended various kind of place not only for sightseeing but restaurants, it helped us a lot during our stay. Thank you for your all kindness and help.

My stay was excellent and the feel started immediately when I was attended by Miss Suly. She was patient to explain the hotel services and place of interest with her sweet smile on her face throughout the sharing. Room was superb big as I am expecting something smaller. Room was clean especially the bed/pillow cover. I would say the cleanliness standard might be better than some of those big branded 5 star hotel. Breakfast is free and serve a varieties too. I would recommend the beef soup if you are first time in Hanoi.

Their commitment to exceeding our expectations consistently enhanced our experience, making our stay truly enjoyable. The breakfast offerings, particularly the fresh fruits and vegetables, were delightful, and all the dishes were of outstanding quality. The hotel’s location, conveniently situated near Hoan Kiem Lake, facilitated our exploration of the area. Additionally, I had concerns about potential noise due to the central location; however, the hotel proved to be remarkably quiet. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, allowing for a restful night’s sleep. Thanks to the attentive service from the staff, my family and I enjoyed a relaxing and memorable trip, returning home with wonderful memories. Thank you once again for your outstanding hospitality.
