This was a great location for a visit to Osaka, located directly above the Namba station and many transit lines. The staff spoke English reasonably well, and were focused on service. It took me about a day to get oriented to the massive underground shopping center and transit hub and the connected buildings, but once I did, it was easy to navigate. Also easily walkable to Dotonbori is a popular entertainment district in Osaka, Japan, known for its nightlife, shopping, and street food. The breakfest buffet on the top floor of the hotel offered a great selection and stunning views, and was handled very efficiently. Overall, a great experience. I would stay here again.

Great time in Osaka
Heat central location just above Namba station which made it very easy to travel around the city. The room was clean, modern, and the bed and linens were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern. Breakfast was buffet style with a huge variety of both western and Japanese offerings. The highlight was the sauna, Japanese bath, and cold plunge. The gym was also well equipped. The lobby is wide open with plenty of seating and drink options (maybe food too). Staff was attentive and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Hotel in the Center of Everything in Namba
We chose Swissotel to celebrate our anniversary in Osaka. Location: We chose the location based on our research because it's minutes from the Namba Station with access to the metro and Express train to the airport. However, it wasn't as convenient for our day trips to Hiroshima, Kyoto, Hemiji Castle, Kobe etc. because we still had to travel to the Shin Osaka station across the river to make connections. We also weren't quite prepared for the crush of people in in the Namba Station outside the hotel and just about every shopping area surrounding the building. It was overwhelming at times. Service: Excellent. Everyone was very helpful, especially Meg (Takeuchi) at the concierge desk who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Kilm(?) in the Bar 26/Restaurant was also so welcoming, kind and thoughtful when we dined upstairs in the hotel. Accommodations: Our room was quiet, spacious and comfortable but the bathroom was somewhat disappointing because the shower was not user friendly and hard to regulate because it had a hand held spray. It was almost impossible to avoid splashing water all over the floor because there is only a partial glass wall. More importantly, it was not safe trying to get in and out of the tub without slipping because there was not a safety bar to hold onto on the back wall near the door to brace yourself. Perhaps the hotel can look into this. Overall, we had a nice stay.

We had a fantastic time during our stay at Swissotel Nankai Osaka. The hotel is located right above the train station, which was great for getting out and about. There is a ton of shopping and food options in the area. The Dotonbori area is just a short walk away, which was super fun to see after dark. Our booking included free breakfast, which was awesome. Both Western and Japanese options were offered. No shortage of options of food and drink. We didn't interact with the staff all that much, but everyone we encountered during check-in and at breakfast were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying at Swissotel Nankai Osaka if you are looking for a centrally located hotel in Osaka.

This hotel is in a building that is connected to a couple buildings with a mall, train and subway stations, a gorgeous park, and has a ton of food options around. It’s right in a central area right near big attractions and shopping areas. If you take the metro to get to the hotel, it is a little confusing figuring out where to go because it is attached, but I would just go toward the main exit and you will see signs for where to go. One of the hotel’s main restaurants is on the top floor with amazing views of Osaka. Also, probably the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. I would highly recommend staying here, if just for the breakfast and location. But the rooms are very comfortable. Very nice experience all around.
